  1. I would love to join, I'll bring the tequila ? But real talk, I'm sorry you are feeling dejected and I totally understand. This process is soul-sucking.
  2. Director of Clinical Training, usually
  3. It's tough to see so many of us dealing with rejection, but I also just want to normalize that the grief is okay, too. I think after each rejection (or assumed rejection) I let myself feel the grief fully, otherwise it would just take over down the road. We are grieving a future we thought we could have, at that particular school with that particular PI. It's okay to not be okay ❤️
  4. I also heard about another invite in the Slack group this morning. So far it does seem PI specific and I haven't seen anything about my PI, but it's also possible they aren't on the forums. Just sort of preparing for the worst I guess! It's hard to balance having hope but not so much hope that you are crushed later ?
  5. Seeing invites go out for Denver PhD is rough. It was my top choice program, and I thought I demonstrated a perfect fit with the lab. I really did do my absolute best - sometimes it sucks when your best isn't good enough. Just feeling a little discouraged right now. Hope everyone else is able to have a good Thursday!
  6. Ugh I hate that GradCafe has a limit on reactions!! I'm trying to heart and upvote everyone but I ran out of reactions ? thats a true sign that I've been glued to my computer all day Anyways this is me telling you all that I heart and upvote all of you ❤️
  7. ? wow that made me tear up. I think you'll really like the Slack. Everyone is so supportive and uplifting! Happy to have you!
  8. Honestly I have a hard time with that as well, but I think on twitter you can follow "topics" so I'd be sure you are following things like "graduate school" "clinical psychology" "post bacc positions" etc.
  9. Looks like someone posted on the results page that it was directly from the PI...I guess I'll naively hold on to hope for a bit longer lol
  10. https://join.slack.com/t/psychinout/shared_invite/zt-kmiz8qlh-XLNYySgujTzZcMIzKBJhpg Here's the link! Anyone is welcome to join us!
  11. Would also love to know this ?
  12. Are you a part of the Slack group? People post positions there and on twitter a ton!
  13. Hi y'all, I shared this on the regular thread but will share mine here too: @jess_froe
  14. I'll just post my twitter here for everyone: @jess_froe I want to be friends with you all!
  15. I actually asked this on Academic Twitter (lol) and the consensus was it's not weird at all!
  16. Yes I did too! I heard through the grapevine that they are sending out invites this week.
  17. Also, this might get buried, but has anyone heard back from MG at Washington State U? If so could you DM me? Just wondering if I should assume rejection yet. Thank you!! ❤️
  18. I mentioned in my statements I wanted to be a researcher, clinician, and scholar (academic). I think a lot of professors, or at least the ones I applied to, also do all three. It's important to me that I leave grad school prepared to wear multiple hats so I don't think there is anything wrong with being honest about that.
  19. Tensions are high, everyone is stressed, and we deal with it in different ways. I don't think anyone should be judged on their fitness for grad school based on their online behavior ? I also know people are just grasping for any kind of useful information, and that is frustrating when it clogs up the results section, but the person posting in all caps is also not following the results page rules? I really try my best to just let that shit go. It doesn't serve me or my anxiety to get mad at a random, anonymous person on the internet.
  20. I hope so, I'm holding my breath waiting to hear back from my last two programs, one of which is my top choice. Even if it's a rejection, I'm just ready to have an answer!
  21. Yes! Maintain your relationships with your professors, try to find funded/paid research positions (even if part time). I found my current full-time research position through one of my MS professors that I kept in touch with. So, it doesn't even have to be work in their lab necessarily, but they have connections to other research centers.
  22. @everyone - if you read through the thread you'll see this thread is intended to ONLY contain interview invites. Make sure any other questions are asked in the regular Clinical & Counseling thread. Thanks!
  23. From what I've heard faculty are making final decisions this week and potentially next week
