  1. Good to know! only prelims are listed on the results page right now
  2. Just looking at previous years, they send out invites pretty late. Last year notifications were from 2/2. I'm not expecting to hear anything until Feb at this point.
  3. From what I understand, that's correct. They use prelims to determine the final formal interview pool.
  4. I know prelims for Kent State have happened already, but I'm still waiting to hear about final decisions. I think they invited everyone they were interested in to a prelim.
  5. I just want to say, basic behavioral theory tells us that ANY attention is reinforcing, even negative attention. Stop giving the trolls the time of day. It's what they want - they want to annoy people, they want to get you riled up. Seriously, just stop giving them the attention they want. Let's treat them like a 4 year old thats acting out for attention cause at this point, it's basically what they are ?
  6. There is a LOT of unnecessary posting but here is the link to the results page for UNC Chapel Hill clinical psychology: https://www.thegradcafe.com/survey/index.php?q=UNC+Chapel+Hill+Clinical+Psychology its down at the bottom on the first page. From Dec 23rdish
  7. Someone has posted about a prelim with DJ on the results page
  8. School: Northern Illinois University Type: Clinical Psychology PhD Date of invite: 1/11/21 Type of invite: Email invite from POI Interview date(s): Between 2/15 - 2/18 DM for POI: Yes
  9. Just wanted to chime in that the person who got an invite from a PI that supposedly hadn't sent invites yet did in fact get a real invite. We were talking about it on the Slack group. The real lesson is to take everything you read on the internet with a healthy dose of skepticism.
  10. I received a prelim from my PI at Kent State last week and we met on Tuesday. I heard from her directly. Haven't heard about final decisions yet.
  11. Totally don't do this. I agree with @clinpsychgradschool - if you are meant to be contacted, you will be contacted, I promise. If a program has already sent out invites, or their interview date is soon/upcoming, it's safe to assume you weren't in that initial batch. It's so hard to be patient, I get it, but reaching out to departments is just going to increase their stress and workload unnecessarily. I do have a caveat that I want to mention. Last year, I noticed that a school had sent interview invites, waitlists, AND rejections, and I had received no communication. At that point, I did reach out to the program coordinator to check in about the status of my application.
  12. Utah is kind of a mystery, I saw a bunch of invites for one PI in mid December (PK) but then saw a prelim with the person I applied to last week...am foolishly holding out hope but it doesn't look promising as their interviews are next week
  13. NIU is typically pretty late w the notifications, I would expect them to send out invites after Jan 15th or later. Last year I was notified of waitlist status like Jan 20th or something like that
  14. I feel ya on the hypotheticals. I can't help but think about every single possibility and outcome, and that takes a lot of brain power when you applied to 13 schools ?
  15. OMG yes so much! The unknown/suspense is what kills me the most. I'd much rather have an answer so I can start thinking about next steps.
  16. Yeah, it's annoying. But it's gonna happen, so I just try not to let it bother me. We can at least manage our forum thread a bit more, and prevent that thread from getting cluttered with requests!
  17. I don't remember what grid was used, can you explain a bit more? Was it like a google sheet or something? I could work on creating one that we can all add to, but that would just add another place to track things which not everyone will have time or energy for
  18. Did you send a thank you email already? If not, I might suggest sending a thank you and reiterating your interest in the lab/program. That way you aren't really pushing for a decision but reminding them of who you are. It was also the holidays so they may have gotten distracted.
  19. This just happened to me too! I got an email from my PI at Kent State but it was addressed to someone else. Crossing my fingers it was just an email drafting error ?
  20. There seems to be such an uptick in anxiety this year, and I just wanted to offer some perspective. I'm on my third time applying, and each year I've learned something about myself through the application process. It's corny, but I wouldn't trade my experience for anything. In retrospect, it didn't work out in other years because it wasn't meant to be. I had more to learn from my current supervisors and mentors, I had the opportunity to find research labs to apply to this year that were a better fit for my interests, etc. That's not to say it didn't suck when I didn't get in the previous two years - it absolutely did. BUT remember that our careers have already started! We are already doing research and working in the clinical psych sector. Getting into a program is just an extension of that. There are a great deal of factors that influence admission to a program. It's not much solace, but so many qualified applicants don't get in each year. Don't give up! All that to say, if it doesn't work out this year, take some time to grieve and then reflect on what you've learned, and how you can approach applications differently next cycle. To those that celebrate, Merry Christmas - take some time to be with family and enjoy life! There is much more to living than clinical psych applications.
  21. Are y'all part of the Slack group? We already had one Zoom meet up and I think they are working to schedule another. Here is the link: https://join.slack.com/t/psychinout/shared_invite/zt-jp66j3fb-W6te3K3wKw45hM73IJv2XQ
  22. Welp this was a nice surprise to wake up to this morning! Best Christmas present ever! School: University of Missouri-St Louis Type: PhD Date of invite: 12/24 Type of invite: Email from Director Interview date(s): 1/29 POI: EG/RWN (I had to list two)
  23. It's pinned at the top of the psychology Forum, should be the first thread you see
  24. I would probably take the CUDCP information with a grain of salt, I haven't seen too many programs list actual interview notification deadlines and those that do don't always stick to them.
  25. School: University of Notre Dame Type: PhD Date of invite: 12/18 Type of invite: Email from POI (prelim w/ grad students and POI) Interview date(s): Week of 12/21 and/or 12/28 DM for POI: Yes
