    Anyone hear back from NYU? Haven't seen any acceptances for the MA or PhD posted, but I know they were doing interviews for PhD this past week.

    In case anyone's curious, NYU program said this to me a few weeks ago when I inquired about performance studies PhD: We are still reviewing graduate applications for both the Ph.D. and MA programs and are scheduled to have decisions ready to go out by March 11th. Applicants who are not being accepted to either program will get letters a week earlier or so. Yes, we usually interview Ph.D. finalists about a week before the 11th, via zoom.

    Ah ok! Thanks for the info, so they've sent out unofficial acceptances then? Alas! I thought my interviews went well, but trying not to take it too hard because of course it's an insanely competitive program :')

    anyone hear from Yale FMS? heard nothing since my interview 2 weeks ago so i'm sure it's an implied rejection, but I just wish they would put me out of my misery and send the official rejection...

    Still waiting to hear from NYU's cinema studies PhD and starting to lose my mind a little not knowing when I'll get a decision....

    Anyone been accepted to Yale English? Had an interview with the FMS track, but haven't heard anything from English accept/reject or otherwise...

    Congrats! That's great news for you! Anyone hear anything about rejections or waitlists? Or is it safe to assume that it's an implied rejection if I hear nothing?

    Also wondering the same thing about CUNY... I haven't heard anything yet, and nothing appears on my app portal...

    Was anyone interviewed for the Columbia English/Comp Lit phd? I never received an interview, but also haven't yet received a rejection... not sure if I should write that one off...

    Got a message from the DGS at the Yale film and media studies asking for a short zoom interview.

    Have heard nothing from NYU or CUNY...

    I know that most of the programs I applied to (CUNY, for instance) is not meant to tell people til March, so I have 4-6 weeks of waiting... but knowing some programs are starting to notify people makes me anxiously check my email 10x a day...

    I was placed in St. John's! And thanks, since it seems to vary a bit year to year regarding when they notify people (and sciences vs. arts panels may notify at slightly different times), I'm going to remain hopeful!

    Also surprised that the notifications went out so early! Since I haven't heard anything, I'm assuming I wasn't invited to interview, though I'll hold out hope for a few more days in case there's any possibility that they're sending out notifications at different times. FWIW, I'm also studying at an east-coast school, and was accepted into an MPhil program in film and offered a college placement about two weeks ago.
