    I just have a general questions about emails to check school websites for status of application. I have been seeing these on the results page for clinical psychology (UNC, URochester, etc) and at this point I'm pretty sure I am rejected from these schools. However, I have not gotten those mass rejection emails yet. I know Rochester was from a while ago too. Does anyone know why? Just out of curiosity!!

    Thanks! I was thinking that too, it's def probably unlikely ppl turn down interviews. But, I will hold onto hope for a little bit. Congrats and good luck at your interview there!

    Can anyone provide tips for doing long distance relationship? All the schools I am invited to interview at are pretty far from home. My partner and I have been together for 2 years and he is also doing his phD right now (in the city we live in). It's the first time in my life when I'm seriously questioning how the hell is this gonna work out LOL I'm excited for all these opportunities, and am very VERY grateful. I said to myself I will not let anything stop me from going down this career path, but I also can't help but also factor in how much I care about this relationship (and my family). My parents are first gen immigrants and I am the main person who deals with medical stuff, translation, etc. So it is hard to let go and not worry.

    I listed a few faculty whose research interested me in my SOP: EM & SU However, I did not apply to work with a particular POI since they indicated they are a generalist program.

    Yes, it did. I'm entirely sure whether it's one of those mass emails sent to multiple individuals and formatted to insert individual names.

    I have been following the results page, and did not see any postings about interviews for Yale! Checked their website and it says people should be notified by mid-Jan. so I can relate to your feelings. Edit: Contacted admissions and they said they sent out invites at the end of December. There may some additional interviews on a rolling basis but not guaranteed. Hope this helps!

    Has UNC Chapel Hill extended all of their invites already? Also, anyone else on the same boat(s) waiting for Harvard and Yale?

    Did anyone else on here apply to University of Rhode Island? I tried to check the status of my application through the GradCAS but was not able to. Saw on the results page that all invites have been extended, but was trying to hold onto hope.

    THANK. YOU. I have been refreshing TGC over and over again the past few days and had thoughts about pursuing a career change even though I had set my heart on clinical psychology for the last 5 years. I agree with what you said about rejection - it's a humbling experience. Let's keep our heads up!

    Does anyone know if URochester sent out a mass email for rejections? I haven't gotten one (yet), but I also haven't heard back from POI or the department for interviews. Also just checked the website and it says my app is still under review. Either still under review or they just haven't updated the system yet for the rejection LOL

    I heard my phone vibrate, I panicked. Turns out to be Red Cross asking for blood donation. Trying to stay afloat here but I heard back only from one school out of 21. And it was a rejection LOL... Again, questioning if this is the normal wait time. My top choice is Temple.
