Are you going to one of the open houses? Also, since they do not have a clinic like UNT does, during the first year of grad school do they allow them to do hours in the hospitals? I don’t know how much you know, but I do not know a lot. I am interested also because I want to work in the hospital setting.
@Caitzilla I was also accepted by UNT and UT Health Science Center. Why do you like UT better? I know it is medical based, but I am worried since it is a new program.
My goal is to be a SLP in the medical field so that is why I am interested in attending UTHSCSA. Do you know what makes it so different from attending other programs? Do they only do their clinical hours in the hospital setting or are their classes different?
UNT is very educational based so I feel like I’m not learning as much as what I could if I went somewhere that was medical focused.
Hello, I also applied to UTHSCSA. I currently am completing leveling courses at UNT and have interest in UTHSCSA due to their emphasis on medical SLPs. Could you tell me any more information or opinions you have on it?
Hi purplefuzz, could we talk about admissions into the UT health and Science center for slp? Did you receive a degree in SLP or did you just do the pre requisites?
Hi, would you mind pm’ing me so I can discuss with you the requirements for this program! I will be applying next year and I have some questions! I was wondering you have an undergrad degree in SLP or if you just did the pre-requisites? Also, I was wondering about your GRE score. I understand if you do not want to tell, but I was just curious as to around what number I should make to feel comfortable in getting an acceptance. Thank you in advance!
