  1. I applied to 6, got accepted to 4, waitlisted at 1, and rejected at 1. The six I applied to: Cal State Fullerton (Accepted-going here), University of Redlands (Accepted), Washington State (Accepted), Chapman (Accepted), Loma Linda (Waitlisted), Cal State Los Angeles (Rejected). I think I applied to a good amount but it was still a lot of money! Would definitely narrow it down as much as you can. Now that I look at where I've applied, I probably should have dropped Chapman (too expensive) and CSU LA (too competitive)
  2. Applied to 6. Got accepted into 3 (including top choice), rejected from 1, waitlisted at 1, and haven't heard back from one.
  3. Yes! I received my acceptance on Tuesday, which I thought was surprisingly early since I always hear they send things out late.
  4. Hello all! I just got accepted into CSUF's program and I am really considering it since it will be the cheapest out of all the programs I've applied to. I just wanted to know more insight on the masters program by anyone who's completed it or is currently in the program right now. I would really love insight from people in the program right now since I've known the program has gone through numerous changes in the past few years. I've been told it's 2.5 years long but I've also heard 3 years from some people, so I was wondering how much can that vary? I did my postbacc here so I won't have to take any extra classes. Also wondering how the supervision is like during clinics, how many days a week are you on campus for class/clinic, are classes held in the afternoon, can you hold a part time job while doing the program? Any insight would be super helpful thank you!
  5. I received an invite to their open house just last night for this Friday. Not sure if anyone was accepted without going to the open house first, so I feel like whoever posted on the results page is lying lol
  6. Saw some people posted acceptances from Fullerton in the results page. Did anyone get anything?
  7. I've heard that we're supposed to hear from Fullerton tonight but don't know how accurate that is, or if it will happen lol.
  8. Does anyone know what Chapman's schedule is like throughout the week? How many classes every week, what times are they at, what times are clinics at?
  9. Thank you for all that information! Truly appreciate it!
  10. Does anyone know what kind of funding Chapman offers, if any? Reading through the forum I saw that some people were offered fellowships, was wondering how much is that usually?
  11. Hello! I wanted to know more about UofR's Masters program: How is the schedule like for a grad student? How many days of the week are there classes/clinic? What kind of placements do they offer? I heard somewhere that they mostly do in house clinical hours but offer 2 52-day health/school based opportunities, is that true and is that for the full time placements? Also if anyone has received any aid from them? Any information would be helpful!
  12. Thank you! I received it at 1:40PM PST today.
  13. I received an acceptance today from Redlands!
  14. I heard back from Chapman today. I will be having an interview this Friday.
  15. Thank you! I actually ended up emailing the graduate coordinator after I posted this and she said the same thing
  16. Hello! I was wondering what kind of writing prompts are usually given for the writing portion of their interview? How can I prepare?
  17. I also got that same email from CSUF! I did my pre-requisites at CSUF so I don't need to worry about that. The email also stated that on March 8th they will send out emails inviting some students to the Open House they have. I've heard from a friend that getting an invite to the Open House is a really good sign! I'm still waiting to hear back from Chapman and Redlands and I have an interview with Loma Linda on the 28th.
  18. Hello, For those who are in WSU's program right now or have graduated, does anyone know whether the first year is solely for classes and the second year is for clinical practicum? Or do students take classes while doing clinical practicum/externships? For example, I know some schools like Loma Linda and a school in Iowa have you complete all your classes the first year so the second year is only for your externships I assume. Just wanted some extra info whether WSU does the same thing.
  19. Hello, I know some people received interview invites for Chapman at the beginning of Feb and I know they received well over 500 applications so it might take some time. Was just wondering if other people received invites for a interview later in Feb? Or if that was the only interview date?
  20. Hello! I have a skype interview with Washington State coming up and was wondering what kind of questions they asked? I heard it's mostly generic questions but I also heard they could ask you content/assessment type questions.
  21. I'm applying to these schools: Cal State Fullerton, Cal State LA, University of Redlands, Loma Linda, Chapman, and Washington State. GPA: 3.79 GRE: 155V 149Q 4.5AW Experience: - Research experience working with a COMD professor - Tutoring students with disabilities (2 years) - Volunteering with stroke patients who have aphasia under an SLP - Shadowing - Worked at a prison Good luck everyone!
  22. Don't know if anyone has been in a similar situation but: I'm applying to CSUF and CSULA for their Master's program and on my Cal State Apply application I listed a school that I did noncredit courses at. However, I am unable to send official transcripts from this school because they do not have students who take only noncredit courses on file. On my CSDCAS, I was able to remove this school before submitting so that I only have schools listed that I can send official transcripts from. Therefore, there is a discrepancy between my Cal State Apply app and CSDCAS app. On my student portal for each school, it says to submit official transcripts from the school I took noncredit courses at. I'm at a loss at what to do...I was thinking of maybe showing enrollment verification by requesting through National Student Clearing House but I was wondering if anyone's been through a similar situation before and what did they do?
  23. Hello, I'm applying to Washington State University for the SLP masters program and wonder if I'm suppose to send my transcripts (I go to a Cal State) using National Student Clearing House or do I have to use WSU's CertiFile program that's attached on to their application?
  24. Hello! So I am trying to finalize my transcript entry but during the section that says to mark AP exams if they are CLEARLY listed as AP on your transcript, I'm not sure what to do. I did take AP exams in high school and got college credit for them but on my transcript they show as "TRN - TEST CREDIT." So they're not listed as "AP" but would I still mark those as AP?
  25. Hello, for anyone attending Loma Linda University (this is a general question) for the SLP program, I was wondering what the stance was on body piercings (I have a small nose piercing) and tattoos? I was doing my application and saw that they would like a photo of you (voluntary) so if I do upload my photo, should I take out my piercing? I feel like this is a bit ridiculous to ask but I am super curious lol ?
