Yes, a CV was necessary. And during the interview just do ask some rather strange questions and tasks that were not related to psychology. For example, I was asked about Shakespeare literature. And I even had to write an essay about Romeo and Juliet. As it turned out, these are tasks that are set for everyone, and they even post examples of completed work right here (use this link). So you shouldn't think that Teachers College requires something strange. This is a normal practice. Due to a large number of university students, they are trying to select the most talented and they should be developed not only in psychology.
