Aw absolutely! Going through these forums for the past 3 years always made me feel so discouraged (combination of low self-worth + reading all these posts from such phenomenal applicants!). I'm glad that sharing my experience helped ?
Also I want to add that I am in no way exceptional (mediocre subGPA and terrible cGPA) so I also just wanted to post to give hope to those who feel like they are also "not good enough". There are so many options if you are truly passionate about this field, and remember, everyone's journey is different!!

Sooooo... I emailed Vicki (using an alias and a new Gmail account to keep it anonymous?) and it looks like a longer wait is confirmed. We can all stop incessantly checking emails for a little while....

Sooo I noticed some people starting to post their stats and experience on here and I can anticipate some of us are going to start getting a little freaked out and even more nervous as deadlines for offers are going to start approaching soon. I just want to remind everyone to keep their heads up! Others having stellar GPAs or much more experience does not discount your hard work and dedication! I know it's so easy to start comparing your own stats against everyone else's but trust me when I say it does not help. I think it's great that so many people have come together to share in this experience and support each other, so stay positive friends! You won't know until you know

Hey all! I'm a first year UofA student (also applied to Ontario schools), please message me if you have any questions! I hope you're all doing okay, I know this was such an incredibly stressful process and I can't imagine how your experience is being affected by COVID. You got this

Hi everyone! I ended up getting a spot at U of A (off the waitlist) on Thursday! Hopefully knowing there’s still some movement encourages you who are still waiting, since I too had lost hope. Good luck!

First off, I wanna say And CONGRATS on everyone who got accepted!  This has been a really nerve-racking point for everyone.
So I received rejection emails from all the ontario schools I applied to. Feeling pretty discouraged, upset and demotivated... But I am not going to give up and will apply again next year. Speech is really my passion.
Can anyone who has received rejection in the past years and or got accepted finally send me their stats or any advice on what they did to improve their applications? Half of my high mark prerequisites weren't completed by January so I'm guessing that may have affected my application? Any advice would be helpful!

Hey @/əˈmændæ/ ! It actually wasn't too bad - I did the systems check practice test the day before to give me an idea of what to expect (and to calm me down haha). Definitely felt like my answers could have been longer, but writing three questions in five minutes is hard. All in all though, not too stressful, and I skipped the optional 15 minute break so it only took about an hour.
