  1. Okay now I've got to vent ? People have started hearing from UW Milwaukee and I've been patiently (not) waiting and I JUST got an email from UWM... it says "time to submit your application".. Erin I've already submitted it!! Please! Stop!!! I was like *gasp!* and then *sigh*. What a roller coaster. This is wild. That is all.
  2. Oh no! One of my cats is evil... I must appease her promptly. Do you think pugs carry the magic as well? Oh who am I kidding... unless ?
  3. Sorry to add to this, but could the Milwaukee poster DM me their POI if they don't mind sharing?
  4. This week is the same time last year that the rest of my schools sent out invites. Qhsocyjshcocysndjcixydnsndo!!!!! That is all.
  5. That makes sense! My partner is considering moving with me so I thought it might be nice to let him explore. I'll also be driving instead of flying so I'm not too worried about reimbursement for this interview. I think I will see what the weekend's schedule is like first, I can definitely understand why it is more common to travel alone!
  6. Hi! I don't know if this really counts as interview advice but I wasn't sure where this question would belong. I was just wondering if it is normal for people to travel to an interview with a friend or do most people go alone? I know that you wouldn't bring anyone to the socials or ask to have someone else stay with a graduate student host but I was just wondering what was common.
  7. School: University of Tennessee- Knoxville Type: Clinical Psychology PhD Date of invite: December 13th Type of invite: Phone call from POI (DM me for POI) Interview date(s): January 24th!
  8. I definitely see where you're coming from! In undergrad I have a full load of classes, two jobs, and I'm the president of an organization and a memeber of a few others. It's really hard to try to fit in GRE time with all of that and with how different every day can be for me. I think the time in between graduating and my next step would be the best time for me to study. Especially if it's a job versus grad school. But we will see, thanks for your response!
  9. Finals week was a great distraction but now it's over! my job is going to be a work from home thing over the break so that's less helpful than being in the lab all day. I hate obsessing and checking the site so much but I'm so thankful for it! I don't know anyone else at my school who is applying to PhD programs so it's been really nice to talk to some of you and feel a little less alone in it all I plan on working on painting or something creative to get my mind off of the stress, we'll see how it works!
  10. Are more schools doing preliminary interviews this year? It seems like there are a lot more this year than in the past.
  11. I'm applying to clinical programs, and I want to get my PhD in clinical psychology. My GPA is a 4.0 so I'm not worried about that, I'm just concerned about the experience I guess.
  12. Hey everyone! This is my first time applying to grad school, specifically PhD programs. I know that realistically there is a pretty small chance of me getting in this time. However, I'm still be hopeful! If I don't get in, I'm trying to figure out the best plan. Would it be better to apply to a master's program or try to find a job in the field? I'm not sure what would help me more, or maybe if I need to have time to do both before applying again. I haven't published anything that I've presented at conferences yet, but I'm currently looking into how to do that and I could definitely work on that. I can also work on my GRE scores once I graduate from undergrad and have more time. I just don't know if a master's would be more beneficial or a job. I just know that I want my PhD eventually, and hopefully sooner than later. My psychology department is kinda unorthodox so I don't have many professors that know a lot about clinical psychology and PhD programs. Thanks! Sincerely, a confused undergrad
  13. The told me not to worry about submitting unofficial so I don't think that I even included those in my application.. so I don't even have that to rely on ?
  14. Okay, so I applied to Auburn. I sent my transcripts on 10/28 and my application on 11/25. I'm now seeing that the website says it can take 14 days to pair a transcript with an application. My transcripts are showing as incomplete and Auburn requires official transcripts. I also do not know if I had them go to the right place, and it is a holiday so all of the schools are closed. Yikes.
  15. Would you feel comfortable sharing who your POI is?
  16. Well UGA's was due the 15th of November, I think that's why there's some confusion and anxiety there with that one.
  17. Hello! Does anyone have any information on UGA? I know several have posted about interviews, but are these phone interviews or in person? Are these for one POI or all of them?
