  1. If I hear anything, I'll let you know!
  2. I'd love to know this too. I'm thinking about emailing later today to check.
  3. Also, why are you applying to those schools? Is it just because they are "top" schools? Do you have a good research match there? School name doesn't mean a ton in psych, and schools that are perceived as "top" aren't always so in this field.
  4. Yeah, that's what I meant by work experience. I've had very good luck on interviews this year and I strongly attribute it to several years after college working in research. It gives you a much more rounded CV, shows that you know you want to do research professionally, and gives you a chance to really develop the kind of research you want to do.
  5. Are you a new graduate, age 19? If so, it's gonna be reaaaallly tough to get in with no work experience and hard to convince them you're emotionally/academically mature enough for this.
  6. Thanks! That's very helpful. And you just emailed the program coordinator?
  7. For those who have reached out to schools to inquire about status, how exactly did you ask?
  8. Same for me for seven of mine, but the past results looks like they won't reach out til next week or late January. I think it's fairly normal depending on the program.
  9. Can you give any advice on how you've asked for an alternate date?
  10. I’ve got this offer for an interview, and I have to respond by 1/10 at the latest. But it coincides with interview day for my top choice...who probably won’t reach out til 1/13-1/17. I don’t know what to do
  11. Ohio State (if that's who you mean) has their interview a week from today, so I assume they've sent them all. 4 days ago UConn said they were "in the process" of inviting people, so unsure.
  12. I got an interview invite from a PI----but with no indication of a deadline or respond by date. I'm holding out because it's for the same date as my top choice. I don't want the PI to think I ghosted them, but I also worry if I send back a general "Thank you so much, I'm working on coordinating my schedule and will get back to you," that they'll get annoyed with me. Any thoughts?

  14. From the POI---I didn't get the vibe that they've all reached out yet, so I think people will still be hearing for sure.
