  1. Hi Zukhra, I think it is written in the declaration of acceptance that a signature is not needed; simply upload it as received! However, with respect to the "consent to the processing of medical data", you have to print it, hand sign it, scan it to pdf file, and then upload it to the portal following the appropriate link. Congrats and Good luck!
  2. Hi, guys I finally got the Award letter and other documents, good luck to the rest of us. @Earlric I am headed for Göttingen, Materials Science is my area of interest (Ph.D)
  3. Hi @Earlric which institution did you apply for and what course?
  4. Hi all, my status has changed to "Funding" since February, but up till now, I am yet to receive any official award letter or other documents, although the DAAD representative wrote me on the portal, saying that due to the COVID-19 situation, it is not possible to get my award letter processed, therefore, I should be patient. However, when I contacted the DAAD representative through the portal again at the beginning of April, he made mention of some "Technicalities that needs to be sorted out before I can receive my award letter". My question now is who else is experiencing similar thing and what are these technicalities they are talking about? I am from Africa, Nigeria to be precise.
  5. Hi all, my application status has changed to "Funding" since three days now, but I am yet to get any official or unofficial notification from DAAD (neither in my email nor the DAAD portal) as to if I was awarded the scholarship as the application status suggests. Is there anyone else who is experiencing or experienced something similar? What can I do now?
  6. Hey! Is there a WhatsApp group for the PhD applicants? I will be glad to join...
  7. Dear Kanwal, thanks so much for your response, actually I submitted my supervisor's acceptance letter to DAAD as part of the application package, however, the admission letter was not ready as at the time I submitted the package. It was sent to me early December from the School and I uploaded it same day to DAAD. I also ensured all required documents were submitted as part of the application package and even more, so I think the application documents are complete. Hopefully, all things will work out good.?
  8. Dear Kanwal, thanks for your response. I am applying from Nigeria. Congrats on your interview, how did it go and what kind of questions were asked? I want to also know the average time it takes for the status to change to the next level of the process and if having admission from the host institution is an added advantage to winning the grant?
  9. Hi everyone I applied for the "Research grants - Doctoral programmes in Germany, 2020/21" category. I submitted on the 31st of October, 2019 (which happened to be the deadline) but well ahead of the deadline time. However, I am still seeing "application submitted" on my status on the portal, and I am worried about that. Note that I already have conditional Admission offer (pending approval of the grant) from my choice University in Germany. Does anyone have an idea what could be the case here?
