So, someone posted an acceptance for my top program (phone call from director) today. Am I out of the running for this school?

It may be a long shot, but someone in the results section posted an acceptance to Kent State today (congrats!)— if you happen to see this, would you mind sending me your POI initials please?

I second Wake Forest— I didn’t go to school here but I work at the hospital and we have a few students that work with us for their assistantship. Wake seems like a great program! Also, I believe Southern Illinois University Edwardsville has a fully funded masters program. I went to another program for my MA, but this is where I went for undergrad. It’s also near St. Louis, so there is plenty of opportunity there!

Thank you! That’s what I was thinking too. The email says I wouldn’t be valued less as an applicant; however, I don’t want to jeopardize that and it would be great to go in-person and make sure it’s a program that fully matches what I’m wanting!

Hi everyone, I am trying to get thoughts on selecting an in-person or Skype interview. I just received an invite for a program, and they have both interviews as an option. I have an in-person interview with my top program next week. With how expensive this whole process is, the money situation would be a little tight; however, I don’t want them thinking I’m not a serious applicant. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I apologize if this was already posted, but I wanted to ask about hairstyles-- I have long, thick curly hair which is usually the biggest pain for keeping under control ?. I have an 8am-4pm interview in a few weeks. I'm expecting to be indoors and outdoors for this (usually with a campus tour) and I know if I wear my hair down, it'll be a nightmare halfway through the day. Would a lower ponytail be appropriate? I can't do a tight bun because 1) my hair slowly falls throughout the day, and 2) my round face and a bun makes me look like an onion. So this was my best option. Let me know your thoughts! Thanks!

For University of Houston-- does anyone know if all invites have been extended? I'm assuming rejection at this point, but I've seen a post in the Results section yesterday saying they received an "unofficial rejection" so I was just curious. Thanks!
