Fall 2020 Clinical/Counseling Interview Invites
StormySkye replied to justacigar's topic in Psychology
Has anyone heard from the University of New Mexico or from Northwestern at Evanston? I know they both have March interview dates and was curious if anyone had gotten an interview. Thanks! -
We just got hit by a huge snow and ice storm overnight and it is supposed to continue all day. I am supposed to fly out to interview at my top choice tomorrow morning, and as of right now the airport, (which is tiny) is shutdown. What do I do if I can't fly out? It is a 13 hour drive in good weather, I don't think I could make it there in time. Any advice?

Has anybody by chance heard from New Mexico (Albuquerque)? -
Any advice on what to wear to an interview? Especially if pant suits are really unflattering to your figure?

I am currently an undergrad, and will send in my first applications for Child/Clinical Psychology PhD programs next week. I graduate in May (2020) with a BA in Psychology, a BA English, and a minor in American Sign Language from the Honors College at my University. I have a 3.95 GPA, 154 in Quantitative, and a 157 in Verbal, and a 4.0 in writing on the GRE. I have been working in a child psych lab for nearly two years, and I have joined another child psych lab this August. I have one poster where I am third author, a poster submitted to SPP where I am first author, and another currently being

Hi! Growing up I have had multiple chronic illnesses that have shaped my life. In recent years I have been able to be a full time college student without the illnesses getting in the way. After getting my PhD I want to work with children with chronic illness and other health issues. Some mentors have told me to include my health history in my personal statement while others have warned me to avoid it at all cost. Since it directly relates to my research interest and future career goals, should I include my medical history in my application? Thanks!

Hey, I am finishing my Junior year to get my B.A. in psychology (with another B.A. in English and a minor in American Sign Language), and I want to start my working towards my PHD in clinical psychology with a focus on children and health in the Fall of 2020. My GPA is currently a 3.969, and I will be graduating from my school's honor college. I will be taking my GREs this summer. I have been working in a Pediatric Health Psych lab and have been involved with many different health studies. However, I haven't done a poster or paper of my own, though I will be third author on a paper summer
