  1. Thank you for the reply!!! I was hoping it would be around that! And thank you! I’ve received mostly rejections so far, so I’m hoping this goes well 😂 best of luck to you also!!
  2. note: posted in another forum also Hi everyone! I had a question some of you may know the answer to! I have my first interview for my top program this weekend. The lab I am applying to is only accepting 1-2 students. Does anyone know typically how many students are brought in to interview per position? I was told by my POI I made it to the top 5%, but I’m still not sure how many other applicants there will be applying for this lab. Thanks!

  4. I second Wake Forest— I didn’t go to school here but I work at the hospital and we have a few students that work with us for their assistantship. Wake seems like a great program! Also, I believe Southern Illinois University Edwardsville has a fully funded masters program. I went to another program for my MA, but this is where I went for undergrad. It’s also near St. Louis, so there is plenty of opportunity there!
  5. Thank you! That’s what I was thinking too. The email says I wouldn’t be valued less as an applicant; however, I don’t want to jeopardize that and it would be great to go in-person and make sure it’s a program that fully matches what I’m wanting!
  6. Hi everyone, I am trying to get thoughts on selecting an in-person or Skype interview. I just received an invite for a program, and they have both interviews as an option. I have an in-person interview with my top program next week. With how expensive this whole process is, the money situation would be a little tight; however, I don’t want them thinking I’m not a serious applicant. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance!

  9. Thank you for this update! That sounds great and definitely relieves some of the anxiety!
  10. Following for SLU as well! I have not heard anything myself, and I haven’t seen any posts from other applicants either.
  11. Hi everyone! So an update for Wayne State: i emailed someone from the admissions office yesterday to see if all invites have been extended. She responded with: “Invites have started going out, but probably won’t be finalized till next week.” Fingers crossed and best of luck everyone!

  13. Thank you so much! This is really helpful. I wasn't sure if it was a big deal or not, so that's good to know!
