  1. Someone posted an acceptance from Indiana on the board. Good luck to all.
  2. Indiana-Bloomington Literature acceptance is on the board! Anyone want to claim that? And congratulations to you!
  3. Thank you For what it's worth, a friend of mine just emailed Oregon and they said they would be letting applicants know by end of Feb. So if you haven't heard anything yet, there is hope!
  4. I'm also an international student and was accepted at Penn State after an interview in late Jan. Unfortunately, I can't confirm if you've been rejected by now, or are on a waitlist, you can email the school and find out for sure. Also can't confirm your status at Oregon Don't lose hope if you haven't heard back until they tell you you've been rejected. Fingers crossed for you!
  5. If you're asking about Comp. Lit, Penn State has already sent out acceptances, and Oregon sent out interview invites at the end of Jan...
  6. The PhD will end at some point soon, however, your partner will always be there...if you're meant to be together. I say complete your PhD and then go back to your country. It's tough now to transition from being together to being alone in the US, but remember, it will come to an end, no situation is permanent. Also, in my thinking, if your situation was reversed and you were done with your post-doc, would you be okay with letting your SO quit their PhD program just because you finished yours ahead and want to move back home? Don't quit, you just have to work harder at your relationship in the time you'll be apart.
  7. Long time lurker here joining in on the conversations. Anyone waiting on Cornell? Any ideas on when to expect results? Last year they seemed to do it over Valentine's day, so maybe my heart will be crushed on that day or maybe not. Hoping for the best!
  8. I say write them a nice email thanking them for considering you and explain that you've already made a decision and won't be moving forward with the interview. It'll give them a chance to interview someone else who might've gotten a no, or been waitlisted. Congratulations and good luck!
  9. I spend all my spare time lurking these sites for an update. When I wake up in the morning and check my email, my heart nearly stops as I wait for my new emails to load. I can't do this for another month?
