  1. So, within 10 minutes of posting this I got my email and access to the results. I'm funded from Committee 5 for a proposal hosted at a foreign institution. My score: 15.49 / 18 There were 78 applications to the committee, 17 were funded, 61 were not. The score of the last application recommended for funding was 14.00. My profile at the time of application was ABD (last year of program), 4 year SSHRC doctoral fellowship, 4 journal articles, one book chapter, and 20 conference presentations.
  2. Still no email for me and when I try the "forgot password" thing, I get an error saying that the page hasn't been shared with me.
  3. I just sent an email to SSHRC asking about a timeline for results and received this response: The results of the Postdoctoral Fellowships competition will be sentelectronically via the SSHRC extranet. We anticipate that the results will be available by the end of February 2024. You will receive an e-mail with more details next week.
  4. Not having any insight into this specific process or how SSHRC is staffed, but having been responsible for similar processes at other organizations in the past, my guess is that duties are split between different people and it's only noticeable when it's electronic because it's live. When stuff goes in the mail it tends to be stored in postal bins until it's all finished and ready to go and then the bins are all taken to Canada Post at the same time. Real-time digital processes don't automatically make things better, they just tend to expose process foibles faster than behind-the-scenes analog systems do. There definitely *are* stupider ways of doing things. For example, sending a package to each school and then expecting schools to forward results to their applicants without any direct communication from SSHRC to applicants seems like it would be worse because it introduces more steps where errors and delays could occur. Or, results for everyone could be put in a giant spreadsheet for anyone in the world to download. Or, they could post a physical copy of the list in a sub-basement of an obscure office and expect people to figure out that that's where the information was and physically travel there to look at results (all Hitchhikers Guide style). Or, they could be trying to use carrier pigeons.
  5. For those still waiting, I did some clicking around in the extranet and it's sharepoint based and it looks like each person's files are being uploaded individually by a specific, real human being to individual folders for each applicant rather than being done in a big batch or through an automated system. It also looks like there is an applicant number (different from application number or committee number) attached to each person that might be part of how logins and results are being ordered.
  6. My score was in the results letter document at the end of the last sentence in the third paragraph.
  7. Just got results (posted to portal, got my login information this morning). Received SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship (regular one, 20 a year for 4 years). Scored 13.30/20 with committee 5. Applied through Carleton's quota in Ontario, going into first year of program this September.
  8. The button graphic doesn't line up with where the link is active on the page on mobile - you have to tap in the white space just below the button.
  9. Just received extranet login details by email.
  10. My application number is in the 26s and nothing for me yet either. (In AB, applied through an ON school with a quota, applying to a school in ON, committee 5)
