I submitted my intent to enroll too! Would love to connect.

I just attended it. It was pretty short and mostly run by admissions. As someone who is likely going to USC, I feel less pumped now. I wish it had been less focused on finances and more focused on research, specializations, etc. BUT they had a raffle for socks and coffee cups at the end for 4 out of 112 participants so...

Thank you for your thoughts! As someone who is weighing USC and CIPA, do you have any thoughts on USC?

Thanks so much for your input! I am in the Bay Area and hoping to pursue nonprofit management.

Thank you for your input! I forgot to mention that I have saved up about 100k from prior work experience and could live with my boyfriend for free in LA. It's a really tough choice for me, especially because I can't visit the programs (all tours cancelled due to COVID-19). I plan on staying in LA long-term so I'm trying to decide whether Price/CIPA would make much of a difference in employment opportunities in LA...

Same for me! Have you heard back on any scholarships?
-
I am in a similar boat... choosing between a MPA at USC without funding or Cornell CIPA with a 56k fellowship. Does anyone have some insight or advice?
-
Heard back March 10th, $56k funding. Best of luck! Is it a top choice for you?

I am leaning towards doing a MPA at USC or Cornell CIPA... thoughts? No aid from USC yet but CIPA's fellowship is almost a full ride. Focus on nonprofit management but not 100% sure of it... Was also admitted to a few MPPs (U Mich, U Minn, ASU, McCourt, Georgetown, Duke with $20k funding) but am leaning towards a MPA... any thoughts on the differences? -
They emailed me on March 10th with a good scholarship. Best of luck!
-
Update: accepted by Duke ($$), U Mich, USC, Georgetown ($), and Cornell ($$$$). No rejections yet.
-
Accepted by Duke and waitlisted by Chicago so far...
-
Congrats on Brown and Cornell! When did you apply/hear back? I am anxiously waiting for their reply...
-
Thank you! Congrats on CU and UCSD too! I applied to Humphrey's MPP program on December 13th. They emailed me on Friday, January 3rd at 4:30pm (EST) saying that a decision had been posted to my application page. They also emailed me saying that scholarships, fellowships, etc. would be released in march. You have a lot of really work experience that I don't have which will definitely be an asset. Minnesota also usually admits many more students than other programs... I bet you have a great shot. Also... I have a friend who just got their graduated from UCSD in environmental policy and loved it.
