Would love to connect with the incoming class at YDS! I have my MAR from YDS and will be coming back for my MDIV — happy to answer any Yale and New Haven related questions!

Which school is it? Please feel free to DM!

Seems like YDS has released their decisions? Or at least the waitlist is out?

The data is not published by the school but can confirm the high drop out rate. The number speaks for itself.

I don't see anybody who is talking about Case Western. If you applied and/or plan to attend CWRU, please DM me.

It's been a while since I posted this. I have decided to leave the program and I am currently waiting to hear back from job and transfer applications. It is a complicated situation that involves me filling a DEI grievance against my advisor. I am angry and sad and excited all at once but mostly I am grieving the end of something.

Okay, maybe "toxic" is a strong word, but I am truly not enjoying my grad school experience for reasons I cannot publicly talk about. (Feel free to DM.) I already have a graduate degree from an Ivy League so I am mostly just doing this Art History MA because I love art, but I am so burnt out and this program has been so bad for my wellbeing. I don't want to turn Art History into something I hate just because of my experience with it in the academia though. I have considered dropping out honestly, but it is not really an option because I would have to leave to US if I dropped out. (International student here.) How would you cope in that situation?

I will be attending Case Western this Fall! They gave me full tuition + $15,000 a year stipend. This was actually my second time applying. I got into Case Western and NYU IFA for Fall 2020 but decided to go to Yale for a Master’s in religion. My subfield is medieval art so I’ll be studying with Elina Gertsman.

Congrats! Do you know if other concentrations are doing interviews? I'm in Religions of Ancient Mediterranean.

Can anyone claim the Brown interview in the results section? What concentration?

I know there is at least one Yale EMWAR interview today. I didn't get the interview so I am crossing it off my list now.

Based on what I saw last year, Emory tends to send out their interview invitations and decisions on a rolling bases.

Did anybody else apply to UNC Chapel Hill?

Duke's already finished their interviews I believe. I didn't get an invite so I am crossing it off my list now. Based on what I have been seeing from previous years they may release their decision next Tuesday. Edit: I was talking about their Early Christianity interviews. Not sure if other concentrations were doing interviews.

Hi All! I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself! I am currently at YDS, and this is my second application cycle. My concentration is NT/EC. Last year I didn't get into anywhere, but I did get an interview from Duke. This year I am applying for Yale, Harvard, Duke, Brown, UNC, UVA, and Marquette. I had my interview with UNC last week and was told that I would hear back in late Jan. Hoping for the best and best of luck to every one!
