  2. I haven't seen a forum yet for next year so... where is everyone applying?
  3. I havent heard from them either. Who did you reach out to if I may ask -- PI or Admissions?
  4. has anyone heard from Mason? according to their website they are sending out initial decisions by Feb. 1st...
  5. Bumping this thread... has anyone else heard back from programs about interviews? Wondering when Dec. 1 programs will start contacting people. Hope everyone is staying safe over the holidays 🙂
  6. Hi all, I am in the process of applying for I/O grad programs to start Fall 2021. Originally, I was only considering master’s programs. However, corresponding with some people in I/O I think I should also at least consider PdD programs. My main question is: given my background, is it worth it applying for PhD programs this cycle? I am currently searching for Research Assistant roles and have had 2 interviews for one, but even if I did land an RA role, I would only be there for a few months before the applications are due (the Phd apps seem to mostly be due earlier than the master’s app’s)
  7. Hey all - I am trying to narrow down my list of Industrial Organizational Psych. Master's programs to 10. I currently am down to 11. I am really looking for Scientist-Practitioner, I/O Balanced, low costs, good faculty, preferably in an urban area for internships, small class sizes, quant/stats heavy, & positive program reputation for the sake of employment opportunities... Which program(s) should I eliminate (and why).* Texas A&M * Florida Institute of Tech. *UT Arlington * UTC Chattanooga *Akron *George Mason * Middle Tennessee State University * University of West Florida *San Diego
  8. Hi All, I took the GRE online and my scores were above the averages for some programs I am applying to, so I feel it would benefit my application if the scores were considered. However, for some of the programs, they say this: **Due to difficulties with test taking during the COVID-19 pandemic, the GRE score requirement is temporarily waived for applications submitted for fall 2021 admission.** My question is: Should I send the scores anyway to these schools? Will they even look at them? Or are they just saying that the scores are not required, but they will still be considered?
  9. This is pretty specialized but hopefully someone can help...I am trying to narrow down my list of Master's programs to around 10. I am really looking for Scientist-Practitioner, I/O Balanced, low costs, good faculty, preferably in an urban area for internships, small class sizes, quant/stats heavy, & positive program reputation for the sake of employment opportunities...Which of these programs should I keep versus eliminate (and why).* Columbia Teacher's College* NYU* Texas A&M* Florida Institute of Tech.*UT Arlington* UMN Duluth* Hofstra* Illinois Tech* Missouri S&T* UTC Chattanoo
  10. Hello: In college I studied economics and have been working the last 3 years as a paralegal and Economics tutor. I took several (4) statistics courses in college and one intro psych course ( which I got a B in). I did not take any research methods courses. I am now interested in changing careers and going into industrial/organizational psychology as a Master's student (terminal Master's program). I have done research into schools + found several that I am interested in, but I am a little concerned about my background not being a match (especially since I don't have even a minor in Ps
