    I interviewed with my POI first week of Feb for forensics stream I believe supervisors have somewhat different timelines of when they do interviews but my POI told me the department was meeting the second week in Feb and official offers will go out end of Feb/ early march

    I know Ryerson said on visiting day that they are for sure not requiring the GRE anymore I imagine some other schools will do the same

    Hi! Im wondering if anyone knows if potential supervisors can see our OGS proposals? I just got notified yesterday about applying to OGS by Monday for Ryerson and was planning on using the same proposal I used for my SSHRC but it doesn't really match my POIs work Im wondering if that's ok? Its in the same general area still just not directly related but im not sure id be able to make a strong new proposal in two days. If anyone has any insights its appreciated

    Interview School: Ryerson Program: Clinical MA &PhD Date of invite: Feb 2nd, 2021 Date of interview: Visiting Day Feb 8th DM for POI: Yes I'm really surprised I haven't had any contact from my POI this whole season I just got an invite from the department for visiting day! Has this happened to anyone else not having contact with their POI then getting an invite to to interview day? Should I reach out and send a separate email to my POI saying thanks? Also the visiting day time is the same time as one my interviews at another school and im not really sure what to do ?

    Hey guys! I just got an invite to interview for UPEI's Psyd program and was wondering if anyone on here goes there/ has interviewed and could dm me? The invite says "you should expect to be asked to demonstrate key competencies that are central to the discipline of clinical psychology, including responding to a short clinical vignette, and to scenarios about quantitative research, qualitative research, and diversity." If anyone has any insight on how to prepare for this id really appreciate it! I'm not sure what id be asked for responding to research scenarios? Thanks!

    Hey so im applying here and they are seeking accreditation as it is a new program. If the schools gets accredited before you graduate then you are considered as having attended an accredited program from what I have heard from students who did the same at other programs. Also for the other comment on here about requirements they do consider more than just grades and GRE scores. You need 3 reference letters and they also have 3 essay questions of 500 words each in addition to a general statement of interest talking about your work and school experiences and a CV. All your materials have to be in by Jan 15th including references.

    There isnt a separate selection for it for Msc just select the Neuroscience and behaviour and specify in your letter of intent you are applying to RCT. Im pretty sure theres a box you select within the application too that asks you if you are applying for RCT on one of the later pages.

    I would add the legend from your universities website to your transcripts still. Most schools ive applied to specify to have one so better to be safe and have it.

    I did mine the first way you said, all my research experiences first and talked about them in chronological order and then did my clinical experiences and then my future goals and current research interests.

    Does anyone know anything about the PsyD programs at University of Prince Edward Island or Adler University? I'm considering applying but there both not accredited so was wondering if anyone had any experience/ extra info. Thanks

    Last year I literally submitted my CGS like an hour before the deadline haha so It should be fine but always better to be cautious in submitting earlier

    I do both in mine I mention what I hope to accomplish in my masters and then my long term goals which include completing the Phd program, becoming a registered psychologist within the province, and career goals. It kinda is like applying to the phd program along with the masters in way because majority of programs only take students who will be continuing into the phd program. Thats how I see it anyway

    I dont think so I have a few schools where im only listing one potential supervisor cause no other research areas match what I want to do. They want you to have a strong supervisor match so if you aren’t interested in people’s work I dont see a point or advantage to listing them.

    Hii, does anyone know anything about University of Ottawa's program second language requirements? The website makes it sound like all students must meet the second language requirement in order to graduate but I heard someone else say that if you select the English only steam then you dont need too. I have tried to email the department but they are on strike right now if any goes there currently or knows anything then please let me know

    Ive been checking Ottawa constantly as well ! Last year they posted the list start of September I guess theres more uncertainty for next year hopefully its up soon.

    I got an email back from my poi there it was literally one sentence saying she will be taking a student though.

    This is just my opinion but committees see ton of applications I doubt they will remember if you use the same SOI unless they specifically look back but even if they do I think its totally fine to just edit it because its understandable that you still have the same goals and interests. Same with POIs I doubt they will remember emails and things from last year because they look at so many. Unless you had a strong connection with a potential supervisor and actually spoke to them or did an interview with them Id just mention briefly to remind them that youve previously spoken to jog their memory. I don't think its awkward most people don't get in first try and supervisors know that if anything it shows that your dedicated and really interested in their program to be applying to them again. As for letters just check websites or email programs but I haven't seen any that have said they are waiving letters at all but you can always email and explain your situation and ask.
