  1. If you saved the links before they were taken down, you'd be able to access the appointment calendar
  2. A current student also told me decisions are likely out today
  3. Are the financial aid advisors only for incoming students? If not, maybe a current student booked it? Could also be that something else got booked on their calendar so the slot is no longer available.
  4. That's an interesting thought. As a graduate of one of the nation's top colleges that happens to be more on the conservative side, I have to say that I've met many people who are die-hard conservatives (due to their family background, socio-economic status, religious background, etc) and wouldn't care for rational thinking, and I've met some of the kindest & most intellectually rigorous people who identify as conservatives. I don't think the committee would give anyone a "pass" just because they say they are conservative -- and HKS would definitely not admit people who stormed the nation's capitol. But I could see why someone who's dedicated to using their political and moral compass to guide them in civil service might be appealing to HKS.
  5. I have no idea how the review process works, but I think it’s fine to disclose your political leaning — no one is going to judge that against you. The likely misalignment would be if you indicate you’re on the conservative side of the spectrum, but it also means you could bring some interesting perspectives to a most likely liberal campus.
  6. Hey everyone. I'm interested in the SIPA + LSE dual international program but only applied to SIPA and received $$ in scholarship over two years. How would applying to spend my second year at LSE impact the $$? Does anyone have any insight? Thanks!
  7. Thank you! I received an email about an "update" and found the offer letter in the portal.
  8. Being invited for interviews is generally a good sign — at least your application is considered strong enough by the relevant committees. However, I don’t think being a finalist itself would in any way influence the admissions committee’s decision, since fellowships & admissions are considered separately. As for the HKS Magazine, I wouldn’t read too much into it. If there’s any pattern or correlation between receipt of the magazine & acceptance, I think someone would’ve already figured it out by now :))
  9. Thanks for your insight. I'm curious as in why most of those who requested for deferral had been moved to 2022 instead of 2021?
  10. Happy new year! I’m curious if anyone’s portal still has pending/awaiting items like GRE official scores or that their application materials are not yet reviewed for completion. Thanks!
  11. I recall the website stating no need to send the official score until you accept the offer. anyone know when we might hear back?
  12. Hi everyone! I read an article a while ago basically saying that MBA applications increased significantly after the 08 financial crisis because of the bad job market. I was curious if anyone has any thoughts on how the COVID would affect the difficulty of getting into top MPP or MPA programs? My guess is that the competition among domestic students could significantly increase, both because of deferred enrollment for fall 2020 and people's tendency to wait out a bad job market. It's hard to say for international students, but Biden's win and progress in vaccine could definitely boost optimism (visa, COVID, etc) and application # too. I'd appreciate your insight!! fyi, I'm an international student. I applied to SIPA & Harris and will apply for one more school soon.
