  1. For CGS-M, do we submit our proposal and our references/bibliography in the same document? and upload to the "outline of proposed research" section? If not, where do we upload our references?
  2. Also, can you include your thesis if it's in progress? What does 'invited' mean for conferences/symposium? Thanks!
  3. No you copy and paste your personal statement. I believe it can be 1-2 pages long. There is no where to upload it after you submit.
  4. For those of you who are applying to two or more programs at one school (eg. clinical and school/counselling), are you listing that you are applying to CGS-M on both applications, but only indicating one program on the CGS-M application?
  5. After I asked this question I confirmed it with 2 faculty member's at U of C. Apparently the website it just very unclear, so they are likely going to update in the future. But yes, I was told that they require a study proposal
  6. It does say "positions not directly related to one's research activities", so where would we indicate volunteer RA positions that are directly related to our research activities? Thanks!
  7. For the CCV, where do we input volunteer research positions (ie., research assistant)?
  8. Thank you! That helps! The field of application part in the application is what I'm still confused about. Does anyone know which sub-categories fit with psychology?
  9. I'm a bit confused on CGS-M what to put for "field of application?" It seems like a lot don't fit with psychological research. I'm also assuming this is for my past research and not the current proposed project? Or am I wrong about that? Thanks!
  10. Okay! I'm a bit confused now though cause I ended up emailing UBC and they said you can transfer the award between the institutions, and said it's fine if I listed it on both applications for that reason. Maybe UBC is a bit different in this case (it is also both for clinical programs). Also sorry I'm referring to the university application (ie. listing I am applying to CGS-M) but only choosing one of them to list on the CGS-M application.
  11. Oh I gotcha! Thank you! So when I apply to two programs within UBC I can list I'm applying to CGS-M for both since it's the same school?
  12. For anyone applying to both UBC and UBCO, or two or more of the U of T campuses, have you run into problems with CGS-M and listing both? I am applying to UBC and UBCO and was told I can only list one.. which makes no sense cause they are separate institutions. I'm looking into it, but just wanted to see if anyone else has had a similar experience.
  13. Another question based on your experience.. do you think it is a good idea to touch base with professors and let them know you're still applying? or only for the profs which you have pre-established conversation with? I was thinking of doing this for some profs I am very interested in working with, but have only spoken to them once.
  14. Anyone applied to University of Lethbridge's MEd in counselling psychology? I've heard good things about this program, but worried it's more oriented towards mature applicants. Either way, I just submitted my application!
  15. Do you guys know if U of C requires a study proposal? For those of you who have already submitted the application
  16. UBC Okanagan! and I was thinking the same thing, I don't want to highlight the weaker portion of my application, so I think I will just leave it blank! Thank you
  17. I was told by the clinical program director it's 1-2 pages. Also had a professor there review mine (over 1 page) and they never said anything about the length.
  18. In the section of the application where you can address any additional information, has anyone mentioned low GRE scores? I don't feel like my scores represent my abilities as a grad student, but not sure if I should mention this? Thanks!
