Hey everyone,
did anyone hear from uofA ?? Any one got rejection letters? Acceptance letter? I dont understand how they would send waitlist before anything else?
any clues?
I'm waitlisted for the course based but did not hear of anything about the thesis based, so I am assuming it's either an acceptance or a rejection. Also makes no sense to me why they sent the waitlist out well before the rejections & acceptances...

Waitlisted for SFU and UTSC. Bit of a bummer but so it goes, and I'm grateful to have gotten this far this time! Has anyone else been through the waitlist process, and how likely is it that you'll actually receive an offer? Looking at the UTSC stats I'm not super hopeful! Thanks all
You can always email the coordinator and ask if they are allowed to disclose your spot on the waitlist to you! Some schools do tell you if you ask

Haha, I also got the Ryerson email. Am assuming rejection as well.
If it helps I do not remember getting an email like that when I was rejected last year, but maybe things are different this time (I did not reapply this year).

Has anyone heard anything about Concordia University of Edmonton's new PsyD program? Have they done their interviews yet?
I believe acceptances have gone out already. Tuition is CRAZY high for that program which deterred me from applying so I would be curious to hear how people who did get in are going to fund it

Does it show whether you've been waitlisted through the portal or do they email you? I haven't received an email yet and my portal still says "under review." I dont know if I should take this as a bad sign
No it does not, they emailed me. If it helps I have also applied for the thesis based but did not hear anything about a waitlist there despite someone above mentioning it also went out. I haven't heard of any acceptances for either yet so I take no email as either a rejection or acceptance haha

You should hear around March 5-10! They forwarded all the top candidates but they have some behind the scenes stuff to finish before word is sent out.
Sweet, do you know if all profs did interviews? Just wanna know if I'm still in the running there or I should assume a rejection
-
U of A course-based results have been released, at least for the Waitlisted students!
-
So apparently AK at McGill sent out interview invites last week, and forwarded the top candidates today, but I've literally not heard of anything from any other profs from McGill here or on the discord... are only some profs interviewing? I have no idea what McGill is doing this year because nobody has said anything in the results page or forums and I find that very strange

Does anybody know the norm for uAlberta's SCCP program in terms of timeline, interviews(or lack thereof), method of communication, etc...?
I believe SCCP does not interview. Results are normally out mid-late Feb!

If it's anything like last year we will not be hearing back until May lol. My POI gave me a rejection notice but the actual letter did not come until May for me when I applied last year
Edit: this was for @psychy999, forgot to quote, sorry!

Pretty sure U of C's MSc Counselling Psychology results have all gone out by now. I was waitlisted!

School: Queen's
Type: Clinical Psychology MA/PhD
Acceptance/Waitlist/Rejection: Acceptance
Type of Notification: Unofficial email from POI after formal interview with department
Date Notified: 2/11/2022
After 6 apparent rejections this cycle and no other interviews, things have finally fallen into place.
Happy to answer any questions. Other future Queen's students, let's talk!
This gives me so much hope, I'm on a trend of rejections so far after interviews from other schools and was beginning to feel hopeless as hell. All it takes is one!

@carlrogersfan98 I found out through email, my portal has not been updated yet!
And was it from an individual POI or a mass email? Sorry for all the questions haha

I just got an offer for the MSc in Counselling Psych at U of C. Unsure if I will accept the offer as I am waiting to hear from another program so if you are put on the waitlist, there is a chance my spot may open up within the next few weeks!
Did you find out via email or on the portal?

interview with OISE SCCP yesterday, POI:LI
she said her deadline to interview was yesterday, not sure if some profs are still interviewing perhaps?
My POI for the CCP (not SCCP) program was also in quite a rush for interviews to send his feedback of each student back to the committee for final decisions. Not sure what this means in terms of when to expect decisions - knowing OISE I am banking on March hahaha

From what I've heard on this forum and the discord the following have either already sent out invites, and/or acceptances:
Windsor, SFU, Ryerson, UBCO, Waterloo, York, UoT (all), UNB, Dal, Western, UofCal, McMaster, and there is speculation that UBCV is complete as well.. I'm sure there are more but I'm not really paying attention most of the ones I didn't apply to.
The ones I haven't heard anything about yet for formal interviews is Queens, and then maybe Uottawa, but because they do theirs different, I'm not really sure how to judge that.
It sounds like there were some snags in the formal interview process for Queen's; my POI was forced to cut her list of students she interviewed in prelims and wanted to forward to the next step. I think it was due to space? They def changed some kind of rules or guidelines for it so that could be why it's taking forever.
That being said, most POI's I've seen on here did prelims and then picked from the students they talked to during prelims to send to the next stage. If you haven't been contacted for a prelim then I'm not so sure what the chances for a formal interview are - perhaps some POI's don't have prelims at all?

Anybody hear back from McGill Counselling yet? Anxiously awaiting here!
Nope, came here to ask that too haha. Normally the individual POI's reach out for interviews so if absolutely nobody has heard anything then either they're really slow this year or not even interviewing.
I see this year they don't have anything about interviews written on the admissions page; I know the admissions requirements changed somewhat from last year (like the SOP) but I would be very surprised if they aren't interviewing... they must just be having a slow cycle or something

still waiting on this too!
My POI was told she needed to cut her list of students to send to the next round down and I unfortunately was one of the students she cut ? sounds like the decisions are coming soon though!

I believe these wont be sent until mid-late February.
Huh, I thought my POI said the interview itself would be held mid-Feb. Perhaps that was just a guess?

Hey everyone! I saw that some other people on here had interviews for Calgary’s counselling program mid-January. I also had an interview and they said I’d hear back the next week but I still haven’t had any updates. Has anyone heard back about their admission decision?
I was told that I would hear back mid-February at the earliest, but it may take till March if the faculty of grad studies takes longer to send the emails... do you mind PMing me who interviewed you?
-
Anyone gotten an official email regarding the Queen's clinical interviews?

My POI told me something similar. I am considering emailing mine to follow up.
Edit: I emailed and will update when I hear back!
