So I got this email from Umass about application status change and the mail says A formal letter regarding this change will be made available in SPIRE in 1-2 business days. Note: the decision letter may not open in Internet Explorer; please use a different web browser. However, I could not see any letter, my status is pending still. Anyone like that?

yes but I know people who do not want to be an academic but still do a phd just to have a dr title, just for prestige

It definitely varies from school to school within the university. If it is anything like mine, it’ll be an email saying that an admissions decision is available for viewing in the student portal and then once opened, confetti falls on the screen. Lol

I wasnt called for an interview so I will probably be rejected soon, and I feel like I wont get any admission because I did not get into Albany. It was the last one I applied in terms of rankings
