Nothing as of yet for me unfortunately. Really hope we get some news next week ?
-
Yea I hope covid was the reason many decisions were delayed last year and we don't have to wait so long this year. The 2019 forum shows that some decisions came out end of Jan/early Feb. Really hoping we hear back SOOONN!
-
This wait is definitely the worst part. Can't take it anymore !!!!!!
-
Anybody else feel that next week will be THE week we start hearing back? ?

Hey! I applied mid-Jan and got my login info within 3-4 days. I submitted my application on Jan 13 (Wed) and received login info on Jan 16 (Sat). I'm assuming you've been checking your junk folder? If you haven't received it, then it would be best for you to email the program and inquire about it as the deadline is approaching!

Thank you so much for such an in-depth response! I really really appreciate it "I would be able to move out as soon as I graduate with my savings"...this really stood out to me! I guess a big part of my decision will also depend on where I get accepted, IF I get accepted. Thanks again, you're awesome!!

Hi everyone. I'm wondering if you guys get accepted to a school that is out of your current province, are you likely to relocate amidst covid even if the first few semesters are online? I'm currently living at home, and want to move out very badly, but I'm unsure if it would be the best move financially. What are your thoughts?

That sounds like great news! I've applied to McGill as well but haven't heard anything from them yet. I'm becoming very eager though lol.

This year is my first time applying to an MPH program and I hear it is quite competitive. You have a really solid academic and professional background so you're chances of getting accepted are higher than for example myself who is just finishing off an undergrad. Besides these two categories, your letter of intent is also an important document that the admission's committee will take into consideration. If there is another program that interests you, it wouldn't hurt to apply for that as well. This way you won't regret not applying in case you don't get into Brock. All the best!

Not a problem and don't worry, you are definitely not alone. I had a dream last night telling me that I should mentally and emotionally prepare myself for rejections because the date of decisions is coming closer lol! Try to be positive, have faith in yourself, and don't lose hope

Your stats look really good but its difficult to determine anyone's chances of getting an admission to a program solely based on this. I think when the admissions committee looks at hundreds of applicants, many who have similar GPA's and volunteer work, they most likely rely on an applicant's letter of intent. This piece of document is what will make each applicant unique and will help them determine who is a good fit for the program. So I'm sorry I personally can't give any feedback on your chances of acceptance, but all we can do is hope for the best! Only a few more weeks till we start hearing back from the universities, and until then hold tight! All the best

No problem! And I'm quite sure we have to upload the transcripts ourselves (I uploaded my unofficial transcript myself).

When you log into uoZone, there is a section on your right side that says "Key Applications". Under this, you will find "Upload Admission Documents". You should be able to upload your documents there.

It's almost mid-Feb and I think some universities will start sending decisions in 2-3 weeks. I'm getting SO nervous!
-
Wow, that was quick! Congrats and all the best for your interview!!
-
I applied to: SFU, U of Alberta (policy), McGill (policy), Western, Toronto (health promotion), and Ottawa (global health). The last two were panic applications lol. How about you?
-
I re-read my SOI yesterday just to convince myself it's written well ?
-
I totally feel you! I'm hoping some universities will start to announce decisions by mid-late Feb. If not, then early March for sure. The wait is killing me ?
-
Has anybody else been feeling super anxious and restless regarding admissions? I finished the last of my applications a few days back and don't know how I'm going to get through the next few weeks/months before schools start sending acceptances/rejections ?
-
Applied to it yesterday! Hopefully my references get uploaded before the deadline (on the 18th) ?
-
That's true, only time will tell when we can start returning to the real normal. Anyways, thanks for your reply and glad to hear the professors are understanding. For some reason I overlooked the DLSPH when working on my other applications, but I think I might do a last minute application for their health promotion stream. Didn't even realize they only look at the last year of study!!!

Hi! Thanks for being on this forum and offering to answer questions! I was just wondering how the pandemic has affected learning for students in the program. Are all the courses happening online? How is covid going to affect your practicum experiences? I was wanting to move out, however if the classes are all going to be online I'm thinking it would be more advantageous to stay at home and save on rent.
