    I also got "alternate" for 2 schools (one of which I am attending next year). Does anyone have any more information about what this means? Are alternates ever ultimately given funding?

    Does anyone know what to expect after acceptance? Do schools typically have accepted student open houses? Specifically, if anyone had information about OISE SCCP that would be great, but wondering what is the norm.

    Thanks They would use a masters, but they would not use continuing education courses that are not taken towards any degree.

    I definitely can't speak to every school (and I would assume every policy is slightly different) but I know that Ryerson will only recalculate GPA if your courses were going towards a degree, therefore, taking additional courses would not be helpful unless you were in a new program. I interviewed at Ryerson last year and did not get in, so I reached out to the program director about how I could improve my application. He said the main problem was likely my GPA which was a 3.75, and he explained their policy about additional courses. I would recommend reaching out directly to the programs you are most interested in to get specific information. Based on the advice I got I decided to apply for an MEd at OISE, so not only was I was able to upgrade my GPA that way but I was also applying with a masters which I believe was helpful (I was accreted to OISE SCCP this year!).

    Interview School: OISE Program: SCCP Date of invite: January 29th Date of interview: February 2nd DM for POI: Yes & School: OISE Program: SCCP Date of invite: February 1st Date of interview: February 1st DM for POI: Yes Note: the second interview listed was with a supervisor I did not apply to, originally I thought it may be some sort of departmental interview or a clinical interview but it was for a spot in their lab, I am interested in hearing if anyone has heard of that happening!

    To anyone who has heard from a Ryerson POI or done a preliminary interview, did your POI mention the deadline for submitting a list of applicants to interview?

    Does anyone know if you need a prelim interview to get an interview at Ryerson/if a conversation in the Fall, before applications were submitted, would be sufficient?
