Yes, I got another offer as well, and still waiting to hear back from others…but I did want that acceptance from CUNY lol. But I am wondering why no one’s claimed the CUNY acceptances except for what I’m 99% sure is an international student.

They’ll probably send out 11-12 offers knowing people will decline. Did they ask you what other schools you’ve applied to/gotten into? I’m really sad and frustrated about it…2 interviews and for what ?

Hi same!! I was interviewed last week, and they told me I would be informed of a decision this week, but it’s Saturday…so I’m not hopeful at all. It’s nice to know I’m not alone ??

I see the rejections for UChicago. My heart goes out to all of you. I was in the same boat two years ago. For those who got interviews…do you think there will be two rounds of rejections then? Or are the interviewees probably going to be admitted/waitlisted?

I got an invite too, can you explain what you think the pre-admission event is exactly? My mentor said I was basically in but to treat it like a formal interview??

Has anyone gotten an invite to Northeastern’s in person event? I just got one, trying to see who else got one and is going.

I definitely don’t think you should get a PhD where they don’t even focus on your field ? who’d be your advisor who’d help you?? Who would you get your connections from? Seems connections are v important in academia...just things to think about! Besides, us having a fully funded masters is apparently rare! We should partake ?

Hi guys! I would like a little advice. I only got into one PhD program but I did get into one fully funded masters. Should I do my masters before my PhD so I can be a competitive candidate in two years when everything will probably have calmed down from COVID? Or should I take the PhD even if it’s a little lower in rank? What would you do??

My heart goes out to everyone who had zero acceptances this year. Though I had only one acceptance and one waitlist, I know that means so much when it could’ve been zero. This cycle has sucked and it sucks that this is the year we naturally had to apply. Best of luck to everyone this is awful omg ???

Right but also you were not interviewed right? I was interviewed ? so that might make a difference...if it’s a glitch how can we find out??
