I decided to attend UW Evans on my side! I really liked all that they had to offer and I feel like with the MPA degree, I'll have better options for employment post graduation. I also think that Evans leads the anti-racism/inclusivity movement more than any other school I applied to which is why I want to go there more (I want to focus on socioeconomic issues between minority communities and how climate change/other environmental issues play a part in that).
I also have heard from other students that they contacted the admissions team and asked if there was any other funding available. I would tell them that another school offered you some funding too. I did this too and secured more funding on my side.
During the UW Evans visit day, it seems like the first quarter will be core classes and then you are able to dive into electives during the winter quarter. I also like the idea of the quarter system vs the semester system. It's only a 10 week commitment of classes and you can take more classes too. UW to me seemed the most flexible in terms of diving into other classes. The downside is that the Evans school isn't all environmentally focused like SEAS but I like the fact I can take other courses in non-profit management or social justice.
Plus, the location pulled me more than any other place I applied to. There are so many close national parks... I am very excited to move to Seattle.

Hey! Yes, I received the Bren Admission letter after the email to check my portal and the Bren admission letter included funding.

I got funding after the notification to check the portal! I believe the Bren School will send out admission letters themselves after we know we were accepted. Those admission letters can come with the notification of funding.

    Hey all,
It's a "no" from Yale for me. Bummed, but what are you going to do?
Best of luck to everyone else! We are all fighting to protect this planet, the environment, and those most affected by climate change. I hope we all can make a positive impact in regard to environmental policy and management and help make the world a better place to live in.

@Theconfusedsoul I would agree with everything prokem has said. I do think that out of all the programs I at least applied to, UMich would be the destination to get some research experience though in some fashion. In the acceptance letter, it mentions some students opt for a thesis instead of the capstone project.

Also, to those wondering about Bren admissions, I received funding with my letter of acceptance so perhaps they partitioned out admission decisions that way with the first wave getting some sort of funding offer? I have a friend who also applied UCSB and hasn't received a decision yet.

I got in and the portal also says my application arrived on the 16th (but I know I submitted on the 15th), so you're probably fine on that front!
Edit: Also, if anyone else was waiting on further funding info, my financial aid portal updated and it's work study + unsubsidized loan

I just received an email from the Bren School specifically now congratulating me on my acceptance. Hopefully this means others will hear from Bren directly soon????

UW is really high on my list! I'm from Western Washington and trying to work back in my hometown after I graduate. I also want to work with some very specific organizations in Seattle, so this is going to be a really difficult choice to make come April.

Thank you! I am still hopeful. I have heard back from both Arizona State and Loyola with acceptances, so while they aren't traditional env management programs, I have some choices. Still waiting on 5 others so I'm feeling OK. Truthfully, SEAS was my first and worst application SOP wise, so I'm hoping for other good news in the next few weeks.
This whole process is so nerve wrecking!

I just checked my portal as well and it says "Congratulations on your offer! The University is processing the offer", so I think that means it's a yes???
Now to wait for the email!
I'm local to Seattle and applied to several East Coast schools as well. UW is solidly in the middle of my personal rankings, but honestly would be thrilled to go to any of the programs I applied to.
