  1. Offers have already gone out so if you haven't heard anything, it's not looking good.
  2. A friend of mine got waitlisted for the thesis-based for U of A.
  3. Just heard from a friend that they got an interview invite (via email) sent today by their POI for University Of Regina.
  4. Can someone clarify the difference between OGS vs. CGSM to me? Is my understanding correct that unlike the CGSM with its limitations of only listing 3 schools, OGS is applicable to all Ontario schools so if you have let's says 8 Ontario schools on your list, you can submit the exact same OGS application to each of those 8 schools? Or is there a limit as to how many schools you can apply for OGS as well?

  6. Is Dal your top school preferred choice? Would you still interview with other schools if you get an invite? In addition, I'd love to hear what you did to improve from last year compared to this year!
  7. Congratulations to everyone getting interviews! Rooting for you guys! As someone who's planning to apply next year, I feel both the mixed feelings of excitement, fear and anxiousness that everyone else must be going through even as an outsider.
  8. Does anyone know as to when do universities typically announce whether they will waive the GRE for an upcoming application cycle? With COVID cases going up again, I'm debating whether I should take a gamble and not study for the GRE this summer for next year's application cycle (Mostly for Regina and Lakehead which are my top 2 schools).
  9. I've been trying to dig around McGill's website but unable to find anything. Does anyone know what are the requirements/word or page limits of the personal statement portion of McGill's application?
  10. I think just reading all those makes me think you're way ahead in terms of the counselling-related experience that most counselling schools are looking for. I think the bigger question is the quality of your research experience, you've mentioned that you were an honours student but there wasn't much in regard to what kind of research work you were involved in and if it resulted in research productivity (poster, pubs, presentation).
  11. Got a confirmation from the U of C Clinical program that they have applied for the permanent removal (pending approval) of the GRE from the application process.
  12. I feel like it would roughly be the same. After talking to a bunch of people, it seems like a lot of people are in the waiting game right now trying to wait from a response from professors if they would be accepting students or not. I know in my school, majority of the last year's honours cohort who've finished their honours degree delayed their graduation and will mostly be applying this year.
  13. Is there an official statement from them that they won't be requiring it forever? I just don't see it on the website other than them listing "none" on the test score portion of the requirements.
  14. I actually had a question regarding about CGSM. With actual grad schools often sending admissions decision before CGSM decisions are out, are there actually instances where a person might get awarded a CGSM scholarship but received a rejection earlier from those 3 schools anyway? What happens then? I kind of thought that the CGSM reviewers for those schools would know if you were accepted or not beforehand, so being rejected in those 3 schools prior would factor in to their decisions for awarding the scholarships. It just didn't make sense to me to award you with a scholarship if the school rejected you in the first place.
  15. Does anyone have a list of Canadian clinical psyc programs that don't require the GRE in their overall applications process (aside from programs waiving it due to COVID)? I've been looking at some programs and i've only came across Ryerson as one of them, I wasn't sure if I'm missing other schools.
