Hi everyone! I just spoke to someone at OISE about when to expect a decision and she said they have been super delayed due to covid and the volume of applicants this year but we should hopefully hear "sometime in April". Definitely not the answer I was hoping for (I'm not looking forward to another month of waiting) but there's not really much else to do except cross our fingers and hope we all hear back soon.

Can't add any more reactions (lol) but I'm here with you all and experiencing similar frustrations, confusions, and disappointments.❤️  I feel like that fact that my life overall is super sucky rn isn't helping this waiting game either. I'd really love to get into this program (even tho UofT is super sus to me now) so I have something meaningful to do in the next two years; somewhere I can lie my focus as life passes by. But it's probably not happening and I'm feeling more lost than ever.  
This sucks for me and for all of you and I'd like to give you all a collective virtual hug. It will be over soon and then we'll know how to continue. ?

Nothing for me. This is so exhausting. 

Finally got my letter for the MA in Clinical and Counselling just now (rejection), but still nothing for the MEd. Guessing it's coming shortly as well... or I hope so at least! Waiting has been a painful game

guys I am feeling so low about this - I can handle a rejection, but this waiting game is insane, I feel like I'm going crazy. And it seems unfair that basically no one heard back in March especially since their application fee is so crazy high. Not to be salty but it's just really upsetting that we can't get a straight answer from anyone- emails are generic and NO ONE is picking up the phone 

I think it's best to go about our lives as if we got a rejection. It's not as if most of our best decisions will change much for the next few months, regardless of their response. Let's be gentle with ourselves and remember that our lives have values and joys regardless of our position or lack thereof in the OISE APHD MEd OT GPP DD OO LAGKASJGAA program. xoxo ❤️

Finally got my rejection from McGill when they were actually supposed to get back to us by mid April. Crazy that UofT is taking THIS long considering the application fees were the highest and they’ve repeatedly set the expectation that we’ll hear back by March. Uoft was my dream as well but seeing the way their management works, it’s put me off the whole school ? I’m really considering just accepting my other offer as the deadline is April 9th but I’m gonna try waiting a few more days. good luck to everyone!!! Don’t forget, self care right now is extremely important

I feel like they would say its because of covid... I applied before the deadline too, and I feel like they should have put up a notice on the website saying its not going to be done by March. Considering we paid the same application fee as the years before us, I would really to have an answer within the same time frame or at least be told that there is some delay. I don't think its right that we have to contact them. 
Sorry if I come across as a little salty but I'm starting to get really annoyed at this point to be honest ? I feel awful for the people who had to give answers to other programs before a certain date, and still hadn't heard from U of T.

For those who applied to the OISE counselling & psychotherapy program; has anyone emailed the program coordinator about their response rate... like I remember when applying they said that if you apply before november 16th (due date); you should hear back in march ... and theres literally only 2 days left of march... so I really don't know what to think... on one end I am like; the fact that I haven't heard anything means "nothings bad" -- but I'm also like "well the fact that its so late is also not a good sign either"....

If I understand correctly, the Psychotherapy stream (to become a counselor, not to study Psychology) does not have interviews

I am wondering the same thing. The only thing making me feel that there are more acceptances to come is the very small number of posters on GradCafe who received acceptances. I understand that not everyone is on GradCafe, although I still think that if they had already sent all 35 offers that we would have seen more than 3-4 posters. Staying hopeful that there are more acceptances to come!

It better be next week hahah But actually, I really hope so. 

No, I had the same question as you. I emailed the department and they said I would receive decision for each of my choice. You may accept the DPE offer and if you get accepted into other program, you can override the new offer with the DPE.. thats what they told me!

I think the accepted student being American might have been the major factor. They needed time to ship physical transcripts if I understand correctly.

Agreed! I also feel that if they'd filled all 35 seats, we'd be hearing a lot more rejections as well aha  

I agree that we probably would have heard at least some rejections??  I mean maybe they are coming shortly hahah. No but really...keeping the hope! 

Hey everyone! Is anyone here applying for the CCP program at OISE? I also still didn't hear back! I don't know if that's a good sign or not... I heard that some universities roll out there responses by process of elimination? So if you don't hear back thats a good thing? And others say that they sound out the responses all at the same time.
