    Also joining the waitlist club for UofT 2 year... there certainly seems to be a lot of this ? I'm figuring the likelihood of getting accepted off the waitlist is probably pretty small, but I'm just happy that I wasn't outright rejected lol Edit: in case it's helpful to anyone, my last name initial is L and I'm a domestic applicant.

    Unfortunately I don't think so. From what I've heard, it seems like some students recieved an invitation to create an ACORN account last fall (or prior to that) after starting their application, and some did not. I'm not sure why that is but I was just told that *technically* were not supposed to have access until after being accepted.

    Just in case the other folks without ACORN access are curious, I finally was able to speak to someone at the SGS office and was told we do not recieve a student number or ACORN access until after being accepted... I have now just resigned myself to waiting for an email lol

    Neither was I, and till do not have access. I emailed the program about but didn't get any response but someone suggested contacting the registrar or the SGS by phone. I called them on Friday and waited on hold for 45 minutes but then had to go back work ? I think we'll still be notified by the SGS application eventually though

    I just checked and I'm still waiting! My application still just says 'submitted' on SGS and I unfortunately don't have access to ACORN.

    Thank you for quick reply!! I definitely don't remember receiving an email with that information and unfortunately my Gmail inbox deletes mail in spam after 30 days. Guess I will contact the registrar then - thanks again for your help!

    I applied to the MSW 2-year program at U of T. Dies anyone know how we gain access to ACORN to check our results? I keep seeing it mentioned and I see that you need a student ID# to access - I don't believe I've received one. Hopefully this doesn't mean I'll be rejected ?

    I know at least one person was, but I'm not sure what other qualifications/experience they had. And that's pretty much the situation I was in - I took the program this year (am currently still in it), and applied for this September. I was recommened for refusal, so I think that they probably didn't recognize it in my case unfortunately. I think they may consider it if you also have substantial experience, since I know people have been accepted in the year right after they took the program.

    I also emailed yesterday requesting my result and was told that I'll be reccomended for refusal. Not surprised, as I do not think I have enough experience but very frustrated I had to wait so long to find out. Wow! So sorry to hear that. My average and level of experience is nowhere near that, so I'm not sure what is required. I honestly don't know what more they could want. I have heard many stories from people in similar situations that have been denied multiple times from this program. I'm wondering if this year is more difficult for domestic students, because they are in desperate need of money (that is what I heard from someone in the registrar's office, unofficially) and international tuition is so much higher. Its a crime how much they charge international students.

    Yeah I think that's different, more of part-time learning certificate. The program I'm taking is 3 semesters (2 semesters of courses + 1 placement). It's still a great program and it was reccomended to me as a stepping stone to the OISE program. I know several people in course have applied for September and have been accepted

    I am currently just finishing up the Addictions and Mental Health program at Durham actually. If anyone is looking to gain more counselling experience and training, I reccomend it or another similar program. I really liked all of my instructors at Durham, most work in the field and couple even took took the OISE program lol. I am still not sure if I'll be reapplying to UofT in the fall. Considering the cost of these applications, I definitely need to better evaluate the likelihood of my acceptance. Best of luck to everyone in their future endeavors!

    Someone responded this morning! They said they couldn't tell me of course and gave me the spiel about them working hard to get answers out as quickly as possible. I'm very curious who you spoke too... I emailed the general admissions email and recieved a response from someone named Allison.

    I'm emailing them tonight. I was hoping to get answer this week because I have several things depending on whether I'm accepted for September, some that need to be decided by the end of this week. Also, I think I'll be putting in my email how I feel about their lack of consideration for us in not emailing us with these updates. This is so frustrating. Fingers crossed I get a response before the end of the week.
