  1. Current MPP student at HKS lurking - good luck everyone!! While you are waiting, I highly recommend setting a limit for how much you check GradCafe everyday. I was obsessive about it last year, and it didn't serve me or my mental health. Make sure you are treating yourself to some decompression time because the application season is stressful and the decision season is stressful. The waiting season is the only one where you have nothing to do to help yourself, so try to get outside, read a novel, cook a meal, etc. Harder said than done, I know. I'm rooting for all of you though! I hope to see some of you at HKS next year or in the policy field one day!
  2. I heard back on May 4 that I was not selected (womp). The message said they had over 700 applicants, but no info on number of finalists.
  3. I emailed the International Fellow Program program assistant to find out if decisions were linked to admissions letters and received this message: "Accepted students were notified in their SIPA admissions letters. Unfortunately you were not accepted into the Fellowship this year. If you decide to enroll at SIPA, we invite you to apply again during your first year for potential placement in your second year." Womp.
  4. I am in the exact same boat. I also got funding (though not a ton) for SAIS Europe and so far, nothing from SIPA. All I'm saying is it's hard to think straight when daily gelato is part of the equation...
  5. My gmail account keeps placing Columbia University ADVERTISEMENTS at the top of my promotions folder. My heart skips a beat every time. I keep getting them for Georgetown too, though I didn't apply there, so it's not quite the same effect. Good luck to everyone! Regardless of how the decisions go, congrats on finishing the application process, because man it was brutal this year. I hope to be ~policymaking~ with some of you down the line.
  6. @intlapplicant I believe that's the case - Stanford's MIP is a very small program (25 to 30 admitted students, 42% international). https://www.foreignaffairs.com/sponsored/gradschoolforum/stanford-university
  7. I'm also waitlisted - bummed! I just posted on the results page, but my stats are: GPA 3.8, GRE V/Q/W: 165, 161, 5.5, and I have three years of work experience at a DC think tank. Big congratulations to those admitted. For anyone curious, here's the email: -- Your application for admission to the MPP program at the Goldman School of Public Policy is being held for further consideration. It has been a very difficult task making admissions decisions from this year’s pool of talented applicants. Although we cannot currently offer you admission, we have put you on our waitlist. You are clearly very qualified for our program and could contribute to the School substantially. It is quite possible that we will offer admission to a number of people on the waitlist. We do not know what proportion of our offers of admission will be accepted. We will know whether or not we will be able to offer spaces in next year's class to people on the waitlist after April 20th. We realize that this uncertainty may be difficult for you. Please accept our most sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
