has anyone heard anything from CalArts? I guessing, based off of last year, today might be the day? :S

wow...did all of us get rejected? I will say, their program is really competitive. I think something like 5% get in.

Oh man...just got rejected from Northwestern.

I visited the campus in September, but didn't get to meet any faculty/students (there were all at the Istanbul Biennial!). I wrote about my thoughts a while about, about UIC too if you want to do a search in this topic. What did you think about Irvine when you interviewed/visited last year? Did you get any difficult questions?

Well, I was told this week, not sure if that means today though. I hope so!

I just filed mine at the start of last week. Because I know I'm so busy this week that I'll forget to do it by the 15th, which is the finaid deadline for most of my schools.

@99welshs I agree, definitely fly in (early or mid-day) the day before to settle in. That's what I plan on doing for Irvine whenever they get back to me with the official details. :S

Doubt freak out! I think it just takes them a while to get things together. On Thursday, I was told I'd be emailed with details about Irvine and still haven't gotten it yet. I must admit, I'm a little anxious waiting for my email too. But seriously, I really don't think they'd rescind an interview offer over you being a little jittery. It sucks though that you're not going to know the time until Monday. But, at least you've got the weekend to prep. Good luck!

My account was updated with a rejection letter. I'm guessing if you've got the interview link that means you've got an interview to schedule. CONGRATS!

I mentioned Columbia because Yale and Columbia are two of the most competitive programs in the US... Anyway, it's already been established that Yale gets over 1000 applicants so...

No change on mine and I applied to photo. I'm not surprised and I don't think Yale would've been the right place for me anyway. Congrats to those who seem to have gotten an interview!

I think Columbia gets about one thousand applicants a year, so it I wouldn't be surprised if Yale got that many.

Yeah, definitely fill it out now. You can do the FAFSA without having done your taxes, just estimate and then after you've filled you'll be able to update. Most of my schools have a Feb. 15th deadline for FAFSA.

I believe in last year's freak out thread someone who applied to PAFA had that change to her status and she was accepted. So congrats!!

I think it's staggered. I heard from Photo on Monday and then other people heard the following day. Although, it also depends on how many people they're interviewing. There was no change on slideroom for me.

Really? That's interesting. Have you completed your FAFSA? I sent mine a few days ago so maybe that's why you got it? Either way, this could be a good sign!
