Any updates for the Ph.D. interview invitations?

As of a couple years ago, people were getting accepted well into February.

Are there so many fewer applicants to DAPS? Seems like most of the responses on the search page were from SHIPS applicants.

Just wondering since there's nothing on the Results Search page. I applied to ELX, which may be kind of administratively separate from the other tracks...who knows.

I applied to HDLT and didn't hear anything today. Not that that means anything (one way or the other).

Hi guys, I'm really interested in the teaching of foreign languages and the kind of effects foreign language study has on cognitive processes and cognitive development more generally. I know Stanford's program is really well suited for this sort of thing, but which other ones jump out at you? I'm having trouble putting together a solid list of schools that really fit the bill for this. Thanks!

Aren't you kind of contradicting yourself? You said you thought your masters gpa was unimportant but then said a professor from a prominent school said the masters gpa was important. I dunno. Why did you think the masters gpa was unimportant?

I see, thanks. Did anybody else have any thoughts? Oh, by the way...to what extent do PhD programs generally value GPAs obtained in other masters programs? Just kind of a random question...if they're not super, super important, maybe it's not even worth having the grading scale brought up in a LOR.
