  1. ranked fourth on the waitlist for printmaking at UW-Madison
  2. I would also love advice on this for RISD specifically. I sent an email to my discipline's graduate program director early this week and still haven't heard back yet ? I just articulated that I would love to to go to RISD, but that my current financial package puts me in a difficult place to do, particularly in comparison to how much more I've been offered by other programs.
  3. has anyone heard back from UW-Madison? I interviewed but it's been radio silence since then.
  4. unofficially accepted to University of Iowa for printmaking ? has anyone been getting phone call requests from faculty members at the schools you were accepted to? I spoke to someone from RISD yesterday about my financial package and am talking to someone from iowa today. anyone have insight as to why they do this?
  5. hi @_redrabbit7! HUGE congratulations on your acceptance and presidential fellowship to RISD! I was wondering if you were told much about the nature of the presidential scholarship (how many people are awarded it/if all of them have been allocated yet?) I was accepted to RISD for printmaking but was offered very little money (a fellowship of $14,000 and a TA salary of $4,000). I was wondering if it would be unprofessional for me to ask my department's graduate program director about the presidential scholarship specifically, as I've already been accepted to 2 other schools that would cover my tuition entirely.
  6. accepting to RISD for printmaking last night at 10pm!! it was an email from the graduate program director though. haven't received anything officially from the school yet.
  7. I interviewed with RISD on friday morning for printmaking. They first reached out to me this past wednesday and offered me several times to choose from for the interview on friday and monday (today).
  8. hi @annaconda! as far as I know, that deadline is only for printmaking, but I'm unsure. I feel like there is still hope for you! which program did you apply for?
  9. just invited for an interview at RISD for printmaking!!
  10. in the email I got, they said that they haven't looked over the applications yet and won't start until a day or 2 from now, which makes me think we won't start to hear things at least until the start of next week. crossing my fingers for the both of us!!
  11. one of the professors at University of Iowa just reached out to me on instagram and email about my unfinished application! (but without the compliments lol)! I wasn't going to apply afterall and the deadline has passed, but they said I have a day or two to get my application materials in.
  12. just got an email about scheduling a specific date for my UW printmaking interview. can confirm that interviews started happening this week and will wrap up on Feb 11.
  13. hi all! a quick school response update. I was accepted the UMN via phone call last Tuesday and heard back from UW-Madison via email on Monday that my application had been "advanced to the next stage of the review process" and they would contact me soon to schedule an interview. I also applied to Rutgers and RISD (for printmaking) and haven't heard back yet.
  14. I applied to Rutgers too and noticed this question. I'm pretty sure it's just a data thing tbh, so they can do better advertising for their program and shit.
  15. hey @kaflake and @painting549! thanks for your responses ❤️ I asked my past professor and mentor about this, and she said that "having less than 20 images can give people the wrong idea. They say it can be up to 20 images, but I have seen fewer images weaken a candidate's chances. I think unless it says otherwise, last 5 years (with most work from past 3) is ok"
