  1. Hey I just got an interview invite for SDSU. I think they are sending them out slowly throughout the week, because someone on reddit said they got an invite Friday.
  2. Someone on reddit said their acceptance letter was in their junk/spam folder
  3. Northeastern sent out interview invites for their MS/CAGS program today. It's on Feb 9th
  4. Last year they had interviews end of February/beginning of March and sent decisions out like a week or two later. I wouldn't stress too much about not getting into the program, they had like 84 applicants last year and admitted over 50- the odds are in your favor. You can see admissions data for all NASP approved programs on their website.
  5. UCSB M.Ed. program sent out acceptances mid December
  6. Got accepted into UCSB's School Psych M.Ed. program Another applicant let me know that second round interview invites for the PhD program also went out this week, guess they are only doing 1 interview for the Masters program!
  7. Good luck! I also just got an interview invite from UCSB for the M.Ed. program
  8. Did you apply for masters or doctorate program?
  9. I have only submitted one for UCSB (M.Ed.) so far because of their November 15 deadline. Submitting SDSU's app by Dec 22, the rest are due in January- I'm waiting until school vacation week to finish those.
  10. If anyone is a current student in a specialist level program in California (UCSB, SDSU, Chapman, LMU, CSULB) could you let me know what your stats were in your application (gpa, experience, etc.) and what your experience has been in the program?
  11. You should look into specialist programs if you are worried, some schools offer acceptance into a specialist degree program and then a year before the program is complete you can apply to their PhD program and you have a greater chance of acceptance. Most specialist programs aren't as competitive because they have larger cohorts (typically 4-6 students for PhDs and up to 24 for specialist, i.e. M.Ed., Ed.S, CAGS
  12. I submitted a research paper I wrote for one of my undergraduate classes. Anything research related, even a literature review, will suffice. Pick something you got a good grade on.
  13. UC Santa Barbara, M.Ed. - submitted today San Diego State, Ed.S. Cal State Long Beach, Ed.S. Cal State Los Angeles, M.S. Chapman University, Ed.S. Loyola Marymount University, Ed.S. Northeastern University, M.S./CAGS Tufts University, M.A./Ed.S. Undergrad GPA: 3.57, at time of program entry I will have 2 years experience working as a special education teaching assistant. Not taking GRE because all my schools never accepted them or have waived them because of covid.
