    Yeah, one of the guys who got a fiction spot commented on a post on Draft. He said the acceptances had gone out a few days ago.

    I have a question!! I got a mail from a professor from New Mexico State saying that they want to have a conversation. Do they talk to people for waitlists too? Or can I hope that this will be an acceptance? Since our timezones are so wonky, he said that we could chat tomorrow. I'm so nervous!! Plus I have no idea what to say This was one of the programs I was targeting, but thought I wouldn't get into because of a small problem with my LORs

    Congratulations on your acceptance! And thanks for the info! I somehow managed to totally blank out applying to U of Southern Mississippi for MA Creative writing, until I saw your post and @beefboy's. I didn't realize it was an MFA till I emailed the department for some info on sending transcripts, and then they told me it was an MA not an MFA, but I didn't know there was a difference other than the name of the degree until I read your post.

    Hi! There are calls for poetry and CNF included too! I'm sorry, I didn't particularly notice if there were any workshops exclusively for poetry, but there are plenty of journals and publishers welcoming poets to submit. I think it's a monthly or bimonthly newsletter and you can access the older issues on the site

    There's this online newsletter I subscribe to called Authors Publish, and they regularly email lists of residencies, publishers and magazines with open reading periods (sometimes genre specific/seasonally themed/general), and free lectures/online workshops etc. I guess it might be worth a try!

    Oh nooo! Sometimes it's hard to predict what's going to happen. I know it must be frustrating rn, but I hope you get accepted into one of your top choices. You know your sample is stronger this time, so there's still hope

    Hey! It's a while since I've visited the forums. Congrats to everyone who got in! I woke up to the Michener notification on draft. There's no way I'm going to be able to concentrate on work today, though I know the US is probably asleep right now, and will wake up only in the evening (in my time zone). I hope they send out the fiction results sooon! I know it's a terribly long shot, but it would be nice to have an answer whether good or bad

    Oh alright I hadn't been checking gradcafe for a while, so I had no idea of what was happening, or what was being said. Thank you so much for the warning! I really appreciate it Thinking about it, the test doesn't make much sense, and is kinda offensive to the person they're showing the pieces to ?
