  1. Thank you! And sure sgpa 3.9/4.0, 4.1/4.3 cgpa 3.8/4.3 undergrad in Psych I did 3 independent studies (directed studies courses). 2 in “maintaining health and cognition in late life” with a geropsychologist. And the other was titled “hearing ability in adolescence: behavioural online testing.” i had 23 hours volunteer in an audiology clinic, 120 hours in an ER, and 24 hours in an English academic preparation class at my uni. Basically, assisting in a class with students learning English as a second language. A lot of my resumé and personal statement talked about my interest in gerontology and hearing, specifically as it affects seniors healthcare. Also my interest in examining the impact of population aging on the Canadian healthcare system. I took a lot of gerontology classes in my undergrad. That may have been an interesting twist to my application, not sure. anyway, good luck to everyone who applied! My fingers are crossed for all of you!
  2. Hey! I applied to audiology, but I got my acceptance today! They actually accidentally sent that I was accepted to both programs even though I only applied to audiology. So you guys should be hearing soon I would guess! Good luck!!
  3. Hey everyone! I just wanted to share that I just got an email with an acceptance from Dalhousie! I hope other people hear back soon so we can be classmates!
  4. Hey! First, congratulations on being accepted!! And second, thank you for your response it’s very relieving to hear. I’ll just keep waiting with my fingers crossed
  5. Hey everyone, and a big congratulations to everyone who has been accepted so far!! I applied to audiology at Dal and Western, but I’m seeing a lot of people on this forum being accepted currently and I have a question about admissions. I’m wondering if anyone knows the likelihood of being accepted without an Honours? Is it realistically possible? I have a decent amount of research experience, but I don't have an Honours degree. In 2 independent studies, though, I completed all the same tasks an Honours student would. Do you guys think that would count for anything in the eyes of the admission committee? Thanks

  7. I haven’t heard anything yet. I’ve been feeling good, but now that the time is here I’m so nervous and second guessing everything… hopefully everything is out soon!
  8. Hey, I haven’t heard anything yet, so I can’t be much help to you, but I was snooping the SLP page and they’ve been saying they received emails from Dal!
  9. I've never applied or have been through this process before. Do you guys think this means that all Dalhousie acceptances have been sent out?
  10. @audiobri Wow congratulations! I agree, your stats are amazing Did you apply through the thesis stream or regular?
  11. It’s my first time too! Thanks for your quick replies and good luck to you!
  12. Ah ok, sorry I misunderstood your questions. Im wondering the same thing. I think we can see our cGPA for western in February, right? Do you know about Dalhousie?
  13. @katieroberts2794 Hi! I also applied at Dalhousie and Western University. I found this on the ORPAS site: "We will complete a calculation based on your final 60 units of university academic study (the equivalent of 10 full courses or 20 half courses) completed by December 31, 2021, of the application year, and will include graduate-level courses, summer, part‑time, intersession, correspondence and failed university courses taken beyond the 4‑year undergraduate degree. If you are currently enrolled in the fourth year of a baccalaureate program, this calculation will start with your final fall grades (completed December 31, 2021) and will move back in chronological order based on the order of courses listed on the transcript." It says the same thing on Dalhousie's site too! So, I think you can just average the most recent 20 courses you've completed. I was also wondering about this though because when I count backwards, I end in a semester where if I count all of those courses, it would be 21 courses. So I'm not sure how it is determined which courses I finished first or which courses they'll count if they're all in the same semester... if that makes sense.
