Thanks :') I've kind of made my peace with the fact that it's probably all no's this year, haha. Best case scenario maybe some wait lists. Pretty sure if I was going to get any acceptances I'd have heard by now. Maybe not, though!

I would say if there's no word from them by Mar. 15 probably safe to assume rejection (or waitlist). I believe they send waitlists by mail? They tend to notify through the first two weeks of March

Generally yes Waitlists usually go out a little after acceptances, or the same day at earliest. Anything's possible in this weird waiting game, though.

Any other Hollins accepts reported on Draft? (Dare I ask...) I think they usually notify over a couple of days but not feeling optimistic.

Ahh interesting...so the "thank you for applying" letter was a rejection letter or the waitlist letter? Weird that some schools still use snail mail. Forgive me for all the questions lol, I'm feeling really neurotic about something in my personal life (unrelated to grad school) and I'm funneling the anxiety into this. I still technically have five places to hear from, but I don't have much hope left at all. I'm feeling kind of stupid for even applying/thinking I could do this. This is my second go-round after across the board rejections my first time, and I guess I was just feeling hopeful going into it, especially after sitting out last cycle and taking a different approach. But now I feel I'm in for another huge reality check/ego check, ha.

Damn, I'm guessing acceptances have gone out then. Rare for waitlists to go out before accepts, I think. Starting to feel pretty sure that this season will be a wash for me

@Nightwitchahhh congrats!!! That is so exciting! Phone call definitely is always good news. Does anyone have any info on University of New Mexico? Seems like they usually have notified by now.

Usually they make the accepted students wait about two weeks before posting anything about acceptances, which is when the rejections go out. UVA rejections usually show up in mid-March, so my guess is they've either already notified accepted students or will be doing so any day now.

BLESS you for this information. So they said ON March 12, not by? Will be nice if they notify on a Saturday. Does anyone know whether UVA usually calls their accepted applicants vs. emails?

For sure. Bummed about this, as it seemed like a lot of schools were notifying early, so I naively thought they would all do that! Some of the schools I'm waiting on seem to be notifying a week or two later than usual. Sooo taxing. I just want to get this over with to be honest.

Yep, no word...I have a professor who is friends with one of the English profs there, and I want so badly to ask her to find out where they're at in the notification process, ha. Though I guess I could just check in with the program director. I hate being a pest though.

I wonder too....based on years past, I think they probably will notify a few more -- seems like they space out through mid-March most years. I didn't apply to any of these except UVA, and I haven't heard anything from or about them -- I think they generally start notifying the first/second week of March!
