  1. so April 15th is a Friday ? anyone want to bet they'll give us a 12 hour turnaround to tell grad programs that rejected us waitwaitpls I have funding (this is mostly in jest but they'd already be cutting it pretty close for my comfort if it drops on the 1st)
  2. Apparently it varies by year according to this: https://bme.phd.council.students.jh.edu/?page_id=158. Also apparently the interview is kinda challenging ? Hopkins sent out interview invites earlier today, they have 3 interviews from faculty they choose based on your research interests who you schedule with separately, virtual visit days are 1/20 and 1/22 and interviews have to be completed by the 2/4.
  3. Just heard from Hopkins BME earlier today (hopefully this is the right thread); "Interviewing with a minimum of three faculty is mandatory for further consideration of your application. Due to public health considerations, our interviews will be held virtually this year. You will be interviewed in separate interviews by each of the following faculty members" and then they go on to list 3 faculty. Does anyone know how many interviews they usually send out?
  4. Hi everyone, I'm from a math background so I'm not super familiar with the conventions in neuroscience admissions, I had a few questions I was hoping people here would be more knowledgeable on: 1) I've seen people posting "no interview = silent rejects" because they weren't in the first round of interviews, does it usually tend to work like that or does it vary by program/department? 2) I applied mostly to computational programs/tracks (typically housed within a neuro department), does anyone know if those work on the same timeline as straight up neuro programs? Like hearing about interviews in late December/early January-ish (which seems crazy early to me since most of my math apps aren't even due until mid-January lol). I don't know if I should be getting antsy about not hearing back from anything yet since it seems like most people are getting interviews left and right or if I should expect those work on quant program timelines. Thanks!
