I can't believe they are gonna break the Tuesday Friday pattern! So unexpected. But I'm sure they do feel bad about changing the banner from end of March to early April. I'm just surprised they wouldn't just wait one more day. I'm so in shock because I had no expectations of hearing tonight or tomorrow ahhhh

Ah that's so crazy! I'm definitely thinking about doing it, but I'm not sure that they would just accept me without interviewing me? And there will literally be like 10 days till the deadline? Do you know what it was like for the people you've heard of using it as leverage? I guess I'm just thinking it would be an entirely different situation if I had already interviewed but been waitlisted or rejected after interview

Does anyone know if you get the NSF, if you can reach out to a school you were rejected from without an interview and ask if they'd reconsider your app ? I know it's technically possible to reach out but I'm curious whether it would be considered kind of rude to even ask

Agreed! Although I wish they hadn't said anything about when they expected to release results if it was going to change! I'm hoping they were expecting today, but moved it to Friday

Yeah, 2018 and 2019 came out April 3 and April 9, both Tuesdays. I'm not sure about 2020. 2021 was very early (3/23)

I'm hoping they changed it to early April just because they'll be released Friday (4/1) and "end of March" was technically wrong, and not because they're doing it in a couple of weeks instead?

Ugh this just made me so angry! They shouldn't have said anything about late March if they couldn't hold to that... they could've just not posted any message about when to expect the notification.. hopefully it's Friday but "early April" is so vague it could literally be any time over the next two weeks. I'm so sad

As @doodlynoodlysaid, this isn't a visit to campus or a virtual visit for accepted students to make their decision. It was just an invite to the CNBC program info session essentially. Which was likely sent to everyone who interviewed at Pitt or CMU. Just to learn more about the CNBC program that you can apply for once you start the program at CMU or Pitt. But I don't think not getting that invite means anything. I haven't heard anything from Pitt yet, and I could very well be rejected. It's probably just a mistake that you didn't receive the email.

Did anyone who interviewed at Pitt get an invite to attend the CNBC Pitt-Carnegie Mellon visiting day? Haven't heard anything back from Pitt yet but I'm wondering if this is for all interviewees or if it means something?

Thank you so much for letting me know! This definitely eased my anxiety. I interviewed almost 3 weeks ago and haven't heard anything and was getting worried. Glad to hear that you waited 5 weeks and still were accepted!
