  1. I've been waitlisted for Western! It's not exactly what I was hoping for but after 5 rejections from them I'll take it! Haven't heard from UofT yet, and nothing has updated on my ORPAS account for any of the schools I've applied to. Those of you who have heard from them, was it via email or another way? Congrats to everyone
  2. Just got my email from UofA and I've been waitlisted again this year. Big congratulations to those of you who have been accepted! Hoping to see you in the fall
  3. Last year I was waitlisted on March 24th! Hopefully won't be much longer until we hear back
  4. Hi everyone! I'm late posting in this thread. This is my sixth time applying (don't get discouraged if the first time doesn't work out) and I thought I would share some of my application stats: ORPAS subGPA - 3.62 | CASPer Test - 4th quartile | ~150 volunteer hours in SLP clinic | Working 1-on-1 with an individual with an intellectual disability This round I applied to Dalhousie, University of Toronto, Western, McMaster, University of Alberta, and University of Maine. I was not selected for an MMI with Mac (not surprised), but I was accepted to UMaine so thankfully the sixth time was the charm for me! Still hoping for a Canadian acceptance, but grateful and excited nonetheless!
  5. Hi everyone! I'm wondering if anybody from the U of A waitlist has heard back yet? I'm tempted to email and ask if there has been any movement but I know they likely can't disclose that information, and I also don't want to be an annoyance. Thanks!
  6. Finally heard back from Dalhousie today - it was a no which is disappointing but at least that wait is over. My last hope for this year is U of A's waitlist (top half), I'm wondering if anyone has heard from them recently? "Top half" could mean number 1 to number 17 so I'm curious to see if they've made any progress through the list.
  7. Last year I received my email on April 8th which is only two days away.. I've also just heard from someone else who was waitlisted last year the following day so maybe it's not done in order of Accepted, Waitlisted, Rejected? So nerve wracking!!
  8. Is anybody else finding the wait to hear from Dalhousie absolutely excruciating? We're creeping up on the date that I got my rejection email last year which certainly does not help the nerves ?
  9. I'm not sure of its current accreditation status, but I believe before it was accredited/if it isn't yet accredited graduates were only able to practice in the province of Ontario. That was my understanding of what I read the last time I looked into McMaster (which was a year or two ago now).
  10. Unfortunately been denied by Western for the fifth time. Nothing from UofT yet but since my ORPAS portal is blank I'm assuming that's also a no from them (number 4 or 5 I've lost count ?) until I receive an email. It's frustrating and disappointing but I'm still holding out hope to hear from Dalhousie soon, or get good news from one of the two waitlists I'm on. Also a huge congrats to those who have been successful! ?
  11. Yes! It came from Vicki and subject line had the results in it (so it was kind of a spoiler), but good news nonetheless!
  12. Hey guys! Just heard back from U of A and I'm on the waiting list (and in the top half)!! Super exciting news as I've never applied there before and wasn't quite sure what they were looking for. In case it helps: My cGPA is 3.44 and my sGPA is about 3.75 (81.9% average). My CASPer was in the 3rd quartile. I have over 140 hours volunteering in the SLP clinic at a children's hospital, as well as a number of non-clinical settings. No research experience (my university doesn't have a CSD department), but I am currently working on my LING honours.
