yale painting is out in the portal.

From my understanding, Columbia Painting sends only one round of interviews. I think it's like 20 people interview. Has anyone been invited for Columbia printmaking?

If it makes you feel better, as a fellow Yale painting applicant, it's also crickets for me. No email, no portal update, no invite, no rejection. Nothing. And I think the general lack of people saying they got Yale painting invites or rejections, means we are all in the same boat here (so don't worry ur not alone in ur panic! trust that refreshing my email has become a full time job loll)

Obsessed with how little Yale wants to interact with applicants. This plus the giant thing on their website saying dont contact any of us...hilarious. And yeah, from my research into the past, they like Tuesdays so I'm guessing it'll be sometime today. We've passed noon, so probs this evening or right at midnight. And for the record, if we hear nothing today, I will be having an aneurysm. 🫡 Reposting my data points from earlier: YALE: Rejections/Invite for Interview: Usually send invites first week of February. Looks like they extended the deadline to March 1 for every program except for Painting & Drawing. I heard from a friend that they are having funding issues, so that might have something to do with it? Also, it's possible that with visa concerns they just didn't get enough applications this year for programs outside of painting (which I believe is their largest department).

After I submitted my portfolio it took me to a page where it lists all of the art in the portfolio, my recs, and the other files i submitted. so on the top of that page there was something that was just a basic blue hyperlink (very archaic website design lol) by where it said something to the effect of $100 application fee still needed. so then i clicked on that and paid there. sorry i can’t be more specific but it was near the top of the page. if you command F and search $100 maybe that would help locate it? the only other thing i can think of is that they kept emphasizing that you should submit in chrome. i assume that’s the browser ur using but thought id mention it just in case! and just to check are you submitting for a visual arts mfa? because if ur mfa is for something else this might not apply.

I mean... I imagine that the more application deadlines we pass, the more people will flock here. 100% speaking from personal experience on that guess. I've only just discovered the forum cause I've submitted applications for 3/6 of the programs I'm applying to (this is my first time applying), and am immediately panicking. my brain seems to think that if I do more research about when interview notifications are sent out, I'll somehow magically time-travel to February and fill my inbox with status updates loll
