Yeah. You NEVER know. There are a lot of posts on this forum asking questions like, "when will I hear back?" "what does this mean?" "what if?" "wtf?" Nobody can understand how adcoms work. I don't even know if ADCOMS understand how adcoms work.

Wait.. why are you saying you "have" to do interfolio? In general, it makes life easier. I applied for med schools back in the day and it simplified the process. BUT, I specifically asked the PhD programs I was applying to about Interfolio and some of them had never even heard of it. NONE of them accepted things (I'm referring to recommendations) from Interfolio. They wanted things uploaded directly from my computer to their website.

Aw, yeah! Do it! Everybody here should buy a ukulele! They are easy to play, portable, and affordable. Plus, they have such a great sound! I've gotten such a kick out of mine.

Yes ha. It was the only thing that could keep me from obsessively checking my emails. It took me about two weeks. I just drew slides in microsoft paint and strung them together. There's about 500 Now that it's done, I'm obsessively checking emails again.

I guess I never thought of that one. I'm sure I've been guilty of this a few times. I need to start watching how I type around here. I just need to keep telling myself, "Your going to remember their grammar nerds and its not going to effect you."

I agree with newms on the your/you're thing. And, for those of you that are having confusion over English because it is not your first language, don't worry. English IS my first language and I can still barely understand it. Such a stupid language.

I would take special care of the subject line too. Put your name and the school so they can find it no matter what they are searching for. Also, this is GREAT advice I received from my current PI. When you send somebody your resume DON'T save it as resume.doc. Professors have hundreds of documents called "resume" and you want to be sure they can find yours later. Also, save it as a pdf instead of a word file to preserve formatting and avoid underlining of any words (names, places, projects, etc), that their computer will say are misspelled. resume.doc Mojingly Resume 2011.pdf

Strangely, silverfish are very pretty. I didn't know they eat paper... I googled "silverfish" and to my HORROR, some people have gotten them confused with house centipedes. There is nothing... NOTHING... that affects me like a house centipede. (Don't google it. But I know you will...) It could be worse. You could have THOSE. They FEED on those pretty little silverfish. Wughhhh. Shake it out.

Phew, guys. Don't start looking at schools for next year until you are SURE you will have to! You'll just drive yourself crazy. Go for a walk, cry, scream, dance, eat ice cream. One day at a time, one day at a time.
