  1. I'm excited too! But slowly going insane!
  2. I have my fingers crossed for you!
  3. I am freaking out. I have only applied to 4 programs so far. Economics undergrad here with a good upper division GPA, but a sad first two years of college. Did well on the GRE, have research, good LOR's etc. Applied to a Ph.D. program for Econ, one for Poli Sci, and for a MS econ program at some safety in state schools. I wish I had tailored my app more some particular schools. I tailored it heavily for one, and then modified for Others. I also just hope that I get in somewhere with a decent funding offer. My big regret is not doing more apps, I started this very late in the game.
  4. Reading research to improve my senior thesis. Also reading some older economics books.
  5. Praying that after seeing my cumulative GPA they will see my sterling GPA for the past 2 years. What do I hope they are saying? "Well, we will have to get approval for this six figure fellowship"
  6. I do believe this will be the longest wait of my life. Seems like forever since I posted last...about 4 hours ago. I am definitely edgy. Ugh. OP should consider getting frustrations out at the gym? If anything, gyming helps you sleep better at night.
  7. I won't have any finger nails for months. Even years perhaps.
  8. I believe that is pretty much the standard. Oh well, it made me realize I am going to have to put in more applications now lol! I was pretty much banking on getting in there. Now I will apply to some masters and Ph.D. programs in similar topics elsewhere. Applying for Public Policy and Economics programs now. Will probably end up somewhere in state as that's where I have applied. 1340 GRE with a 3.7 upper division / 3.8 major GPA . This wait will undoubtedly kill me haha.
  9. Received a call from my #1 school today. I have been in touch with one of the professors from this school, who urged me to apply. The call was from the executive assistant in the department who said I need to withdraw my application because I do not have the Masters degree required to enroll in the program. This was unknown to me even though I read the requirements for the degree multiple times, where it is not mentioned, and was recommended to apply by the director of the program who is fully aware of my background. Oh well. Just feeling bummed.
  10. I emailed you back with my comments on the SoP!
