Look, I know its Sunday, and in my mind I know that it doesnt matter how many times I check my email or how many times I look at the admissions site, NOTHING is going to have changed from an hour ago or from yesterday or the day before... but, I cant help it I'm totally obsessed!!!!!!! It is all I can think about... how pathetic!!!!!

what is the deal with the need forms.... I thought you couldnt fill out your financial aid stuff until you had been accepted.... am I missing something?????

I applied there and I have seen several others too!!! I think it is a good school also!!

@allie thanks so much for that thread!! that was so helpful. I made a list and have started taking notes about things I want to be sure to talk about. One more week until we start to hear things, hopefully!!!

I know what the heck!!!!!! At least they were nice enough to give me notice and let my professors email them!!! More than a one day notice would have been nice though!!!! has anyone heard anything form their schools yet?????? I am SO SO NERVOUS ABOUT INTERVIEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I totally agree!!! It is all so subjective, and it is about finding a good fit to fill the holes left by graduating MFA students!! I am prepared and at the end I the day I love what I do and I know I still have alot of growth... at least that is what I tell myself at night when I cant sleep!

ok so I double, triple, multiple checked my packets of stuff before I sent them and I am CERTAIN that I sent all my letters of recommendation to UNM (which requires paper recommendations) and I just got an email saying that they only had one of them!!!!!! Now they say my professors have to send a PDF to them by tomorrow to be considered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UUUGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

I applied to 10 schools and I am so nervous that it is all I can think about... I am sculpture/ interdisciplinary and after reading all the posts from last year I feel like I should even apply to more. I am actually living in a small ski village for the winter so I'm not at my house and so I am even more nervous about not being the one to physically open the mail! @leeP i read your post "MFA 2011 sculpture safety" and in that you said you were applying got CU -boulder.... why did you change your mind? I looked at your work and we have a somewhat similar aesthetic.... we both are using light.

I am so happy everyone is chiming in!!!! GOOD LUCK to all and congrats on the early acceptance notices!!!!! YAY!!! The waiting is absolutely killing me... I searched all my schools on the "results" tab with gradcafe and it was helpful to get a pretty good idea when most places would be sending out rejections, acceptances, and interviews. take a look!

WOW 16 schools!!!! I went completely nuts spending night and day for months working on them and I only applied to 10... but after reading all the posts from last year I am feeling like I should send in a fe more apps to schools with late admissions deadlines!!!!

CONGRATS on your acceptance.... now you can breathe easy right all the rest is just icing on the cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey psstpsstah_art: We are applying to several of he same schools... Penndesign, Rutgers, CU, Univ of Cincinnati... are you applying to all painting? I am scultpure, so I'm curious to see if we hear from them around the same time???? What type of work do you do? "I applied to thirteen MFA painting[/drawing] programs, and recently I got a notice that I'm on the short list for acceptance at University of Chicago. In fact, I have a phone interview tomorrow afternoon. I'm tremendously nervous though also fairly confident in my abilities to talk about my art, influences, and particular desire to attend UofC. Nonetheless, I would appreciate any and all advice that you, who have applied or phone-interviewed before, can offer. Of the other twelve schools, I have heard nothing. Hey, I also applied to CU-Boulder for sculpture and I also work with light... I took a look at your work... I have more of a mixed media approach but I can see that we might have interesting conversation!! Did you get the opportunity to visit CU? I LOVED the Facility and the faculty!!! The students in the sculpture dept. seemed so cool and happy wiht the program!!!! Why did you choose that program to apply to?

Hey yeah I applied to University of NewMexico, Cincinnati, University of Oregon, Portland State University and University of Missouri plus the ones I already mentioned. After doing alot of research I really wanted to do two things: first I only applied to schools that encouage true interdisciplinary work and second I applied to some top teir schools, some in the middle qnd some less known but really intriguing smaller schools. I make sculptural mixed media work and some installation... What about you?

YES!!!!!!!!! People think it like going to the local college and registering for night MBA classes... I am so nervous that after telling everyone and preparing to make major, major changes in my life I wont get in and then I will be stuck!!!!!

Hello everyone! I am brand new to this and was really looking for people to discuss the terror of waiting for acceptance or rejection letters with! I am 27 and because of my situation I really feel like I only have this one year to get into a school. I researched for 2 years and in the end I did a crazy crazy thing and applied to 10 schools!!!!!!!!!!! It was an enormous amount of work but my top choices are: MICA-- Mount Royal Northwestern Rutgers CU Penn Design I am so so so nervous about finding out and the anticipation is killing me!! Does anyone know if all "short-listed" MICA hopefuls have to interview???
