I recieved a letter in the mail today also.. I have been accepted at the ZOO with free admission and a coupon for a train ride!!!! YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok I really dont think people have been saying bad things about schools on here and they KNOW we have applied to a number of places... I wouldnt worry about it I doubt they would go through and read all 50 pages of posts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We sould all just breathe... I dont think they spend hours trolling this forum... the whole point is just to be smart when posting

I got the the computer this morning and I was SO HAPPY after reading all the funny post!! That did the most to illeviate the irritation for not hearing from any schools this week! Thanks for all of that and I ditto RUFIO, RUFIO, RUFFFFFIIIIIIOOOOOOOOOOO! I had the biggest crush on him when that came out. I HOPE we hear something today tomorrow, SSSSSSSOOOOOOOONNNNN!! I think I have reached the point of complete and toal obession with this whole thing.

I didnt apply there but mine says nothing at all different on anyof mine... where exactly are you guys seeing the change occur?

well I got (as I'm sure we ALL did) a Dear Graduate letter from MICA that was absolutely nothing but advertisement for the school... uuggghhh I hate those things!!!

Dont feel like that! EVERYONE gets rejections! No one gets accepted everywhere and you just have to know different schools are looking for different things! Keep hope, if you applied to 12 schools the odds are in your favor that one of your programs will really appreciate your approach and will love having you!!!

ddi you do your fasfa for student loans? you might want to talk with the finaical aid dept at PAFA, they might be able to direct you to the right place for more scholarships/grants

I applied to Rinehart but havent heard from them, but I did hear they sent out interview invites back around the 10th of Feb. I think they were doing interviews this week

When I got my first rejection I felt the same way evne though it wasnt the top of my list it still hurts a little. I'm sure you will get into just the right place.

ok here is a stat I am dieing to know... how many stundents graduate with a BFA every year and how many students graduate with there MFA every year... I am so curious to know the percetage of students that go on to get their MFA... I was feeling a littel depressed last night and starting to question all the new work I was so excited about just the day before, and then this morning at 5:30 I woke up suddenly and started thinking, that just by applying and going ot any grad school we have already done something that many people dont get the chance to do... anyway, I have been wondering about these numbers for awhile.

I agree! also having your hands free to use gestures is important because body language is so crucial. Have the pad of paer handy but by NO MEANS woud I have notes written down to refer too with regards to answering questions. you wouldnt want your responses to seem scripted! you know your work and your influences and your motivation for going to grad school better than anyone. Be honest and engaged, taking notes when something important is said, like artists they recommend you look at or suggestions about your work. Other than that I would allow your body and hands to help communicate during the interview!! Good luck

ok here is a question: Do you think GPA plays a role with some of these top ranked schools.. for instance if you have a GPA between 3.0 and 3.3 does that become a factor, or if you have a high GPA liek 3.7-4.0 does that positively impact your aplication? I KNOW for us this is almost completely about the work and the statement, but still I wonder if GPA is a factor?

I got a nasty virus on my computer and cant use it ar ALL.... totally SUCKS! this computer doesnt have flash 9 on it and so I cant check my slideroom.. hhhmm curious???? I wonder if any of my shcools post things on there? Also, has anyone ever heard the final word from NW? I wonder when MICA nad NW will send out rej?

Well i talked with New Mexico, it was a typo in the letter--- rejected accross the board! kinda surprised since I saw their sculpture work but oh well on to the next one...
