man, I dont know what to do I hate to have to wait until Monday to know. I applied to 3 different concentrations there and I feel certain that since each program reviews separately they would probably send 3 letters. And even if I was rejected across the board I feel as though they would name all three programs and state that I was rejected from all of them. I really hope that my portfolio even got to the right people. I was in touch with them right before the deadline and they said that all of my materials were there?????? I WISH there was someone I could contact today!

I just got a rejection from UNM that says I was rejected from the Masters of art history??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF????????????? I didnt apply to art history????????????????? anyone else have this happen?

yeah I went and spent some time there in the fall and I LOVE the new facilities! Absolutely fantastic and I love the whole vibe of Boulder... we will see

I heard today that typically sculpture at Univ of Colorado does their interviews in MID MARCH! uuggghhh that is so long to wait just for an interivew... yuck! anyone hear anything this week from UNM for sculpture or painting?

OK here is what I am starting to believe more and more: *NONE of us are certain of anything until the official word comes in!!!!!!!! **Interviews do not necessarily mean you are a finalist and not having an interview does not mean you are NOT a finalist. ***It seems as though each year things are done slightly differently and so all we can do is speculate!!!!!! All we really really really know i that it aint over till its over!!!!!!!!!!!! I keep trying to tell myself that we will all end up where we are supposed to be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heads up everyone, in about a month we will have a much, much better picture of how this is all going to pan out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck again!

Ok I want ot get some feedback on this from you guys. If you have an interview that you think went particularly well and you enjoyed your talk,do you think it would be good/bad/indifferent to write a short one line email to the faculty you spoke with and tell them how much you enjoyed the conversation and that you hope you will have the opportunity to speak again with them soon??????? How wold that come accross? it is a completely genuine sentiment and I want them to know I appreciate their time.... let me know what yall think.

I am so glad to find this forum!! I am a single mother of a 3 year old boy (3 as of Jan 11th) and I just finished my BFA in Dec. and I will be starting my MFA (PHD equivelant for FIne Art) in August. There is no doubt it has been extremely difficult and will only get harder but I totally agree with the person that said it really puts the whole process in perspective. You learn to work around their schedules and involve them in your working process. My son was on our States medicaid program and will be in our new location as well, and it has worked out great for us!!!! I will have a stipend of aprox 1200 a month and I am hoping to also qualify ofr the same type of medicaid program. Good luck to everyone going through this process with children!!!! In the end what an accomplishment to share with your child (children) that will inspire in them the drive to acheive your dreams regardless of the hardships and challenges along the way. I honeslty believe that having my son through this has empowered me and given me a more focused directive than many of my peers!!!!!

I just want to post his as a warning and a reminder that people might be watching what we say so you might consider some amount of anonymity or discretion when posting on this forum. It is here to help us through this process but I just think we should be aware... LOOK AT THIS POST AND THE PAGE OF POSTS THAT FOLLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know its not our field but it could happen here too.... dont let this discourage you from posting but its just food for thought for the coming weeks IT STARTS WITH THE 3RD POST DOWN

I'm surprised Northwestern hasnt put up the rejections on the web portal yet... maybe tomorrow. I know its a no for them I just want to official get it out of my mind.

anyone heard from UNM, Univ of Colorado or UNiv of Oregon or know anything about any of these programs, as far as admissions process???

I agree I dont think that they have made official rejections yet as they may have to reevaluate waitlist options after interviews, perhaps???????? but, still I am not hopeful, but I like your positive attitude and I think your work is incredible and I'm shocked you havent gotten an invite from them!!

Yes this is my first acceptance, so yes I am thrilled to know that I have somehwere to go with funding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I must admitt I'm still excited to see what happens with my other schools but it does take an enormous amount of preassure off of the rest of the process!

I know I hated getting that email just now... terrible!!! Yes I talked to Chris and it was only a computer glitch and there was never an error on their end. He said that the correct departments had recieved the portfolios and that it was only a student view error. I have crossed MICA off my list mentally. But oh well I guess that wasnt the right school for me!!

from whatI gather yes all interviwes for Mt Royal have been sent out... I have no idea about CCA. I did not get an interview with MICA but Ii'm fairly certian they were all sent out at once.

got an email tonight 2/13 that I am shortlisted for Portlans State University

I just got an email from Portland State saying I'm short listed and they now want my recommendations to be sent by the 22nd.

cant wait for tomorrow!!!! I hate Sundays now and Mondays always seem exciting, hoping to hear more stuff. Also, I know two of us have interviews with UPenn on Tues, but Ii thought there was someone who interviews tomorrow. If so would you please be kind enough to post what types of questions you are asked? Thanks, that would be really really helpful!!!
