Yes, the letter is dated March 9th, postage is stamped March 11th. No information about ranking, size of waitlist, cohort size. It does say it would most likely be unfunded if accepted. Besides Chicago (which was a HUGE stretch) this program is a dream, so I am hoping it materializes.

I received a wait list notification today for the MA program. If you are accepted but not attending, PLEASE let them know. And as always, good luck to everyone who is waiting to hear!!

Thank you for this info - I am still waiting to hear from Buffalo - but I am HOPING to get into the MA program. If this becomes an option, could I PM you about your experience there? The decision would most likely be between an MA there and a PhD program somewhere else, so it could be a tough one to make. Thanks again for the info!

I know how you feel. I have one acceptance now too, so I feel a lot better. But still, I really want to just know where I'll be moving to in June! good luck on your eight!

I am anxiously awaiting a decision from Boulder - I heard on here that they are not being sent out until this upcoming friday!! And that they're being sent snail mail!! The waiting game sucks.

Hmm, I am not sure then. You could e-mail them - I messaged Professor Hammill, Director of Admissions. He seemed very nice and understanding.

I have still not heard. I e-mailed this past Monday and received a very prompt, personal response that stated not all decisions have been made as some PhD applicants are being reviewed and may be offered MA spots. They said they would know something "by the end of next week." Hope that helps, and good luck! I would LOVE to receive an MA offer from Buffalo.

For people with multiple offers, this will give them barely any time to make a thorough, well-informed decision... I am not someone with multiple offers, but... just sayin'.

Someone posted that notifications "will go out by next Friday at the latest." That is sooo far away! This waiting game is killing me.

I hope they do too! I still have not heard from Albany. Does anyone know if applicants who hold only a BA might be deferred to the MA if not accepted to the PhD? At this point I'd take any sort of admission to any school.

Ahh I am so sorry! Mine has still not been updated, but I am expecting rejection since I haven't been notified by anyone. Do you have any other programs you are waiting on?

Oh no! I am so sorry! I just checked mine, and nothing has changed. I have a hunch that those accepted have been notified though. I will be checking obsessively. Inafuturelife, if you have any more places to hear from, I hope it's good news.

I'm really not sure right now. It is not my ideal choice, but IF I got accepted to MAPH and nowhere else, I'd most likely do it. But who knows how the rest of this admission season will turn out. I still have a lot of schools to hear from, although I am not quite optimistic at this point. Would you consider it?
