Hey everyone, sorry I've been so distant lately. It's not you; it's me! Seriously, my stress levels are through the roof. I'm only able to fall asleep at night when my mind has stopped being able to mull over anything more. Can anyone here claim the latest anthro result from CUNY? I'm an archaeology applicant, but I'm just so interested to hear anything that department has said. Regardless of my chances at my remaining schools, CUNY is the last of the absolute spot-on fits for me (at least, though I think it is). Sigh...

Haha I am inclined to agree with that deduction. Now that I think of it, CUNY's application deadlines were different by subfield: Dec. 1st for Cultural/Linguistics and Dec. 15th for Arch/Physical... The only one of my schools with split deadlines like that. Funky!

Anyone want to claim either of the CUNY interviews? Which subfield are you?

haha yeah, must've missed it! Luckily I spoke with someone in admissions the other day, and she said a missing signature page wouldn't hold up an application. She also said I could e-mail it! So do that, screencheck! I didn't actually have to physically mail anything to CUNY other than transcripts; I sent everything via e-mail. Also, the signature page doesn't show up as a requirement on my application summary...? Anyone else?

I didn't do so until last week... I don't believe I was ever prompted to submit one after I completed the online application.

For the record, I'm declining SDSU... I weighed the pros and cons, and I can't afford it, especially if I want to continue on to the PhD afterward. Edit: Didn't realize my thoughts weren't completely clarified: basically, all the MA programs I applied to are out of the option at this point. I had some very unfortunate misconceptions about funding opportunities at each, and there is no way I can afford any of the programs. Also, I am not counting on either of my two other PhD programs (aside from CUNY) to pull through. They were huuuge stretches, and I admittedly forced the fit.

An itty bit little better news on my end: I was just accepted into San Diego State's MA program! At least I know I'm going to graduate school at this point.
